Blind Item #8
Apparently things have hit a very rough patch between this A list singer/(not very good actor who still gets big roles) and his actress wife. At a game night last weekend, the two got into a fight in front of their friends because she says he does not do enough to support her. Apparently it was a five minute long list before he got up and walked out leaving her to get home.
timberlake and biel
ReplyDeleteI don't know who the couple are, but Timberlake and Biel would not be my first choice. I am sure some of his personal $$$ helped her open her new restaurant Au Fudge in LA. This could be any number of celebrity pairings. Like virtually all of them.
ReplyDeleteTimberpuss and Biel
ReplyDeleteJustin is NOT getting cast since Runner Runner.
ReplyDeleteThere was even an article in the LA Times begging movie companies not to cast him.
Yeah, June Timberlake's movie career is dead.
ReplyDeleteI saw one of his movies, it was horrendous.
ReplyDeleteit has to be them.
ReplyDeleteI am always amazed when celebrities think they can just open a restaurant. The restaurant business is one of the most difficult, if not THE most difficult business to get into, maintain and be profitable at. It's not a "hobby". It's hard ass f-ing work and can become a huge money pit. In fact, statistically. most restaurants fail. Only a small number of them can really be sustainable in the long term. I know this because I worked in that business for years in management on a number of levels raning from the Corporate level chain restos to smaller operations. Any time there a recession hits, restos are the first casualties when people cut back on discretionary spending. There are only so many high level restos big dollar that are sustainable and can weather economic downfalls (ie. places like French Laundry, etc.). The rest of them end up failing or struggling hard. Au Fudge (aside from the ridiculous name) is not going to be able to sustain $17 grilled cheese sandwiches and other food items from Cisco disguised as hipster, long term, no matter how cutesy the place is.
ReplyDelete(sorry for all the grammar errors above, not enough coffee today)
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's Timberlake and Biel. They don't even live together or have the same friends. Jon Bongovi?
ReplyDeleteGood info, Ryan.
ReplyDeletehey Snark, thanks for the comments. I am not kidding when I say that the restaurant business is brutal. Not to brag, but I started out washing dishes in a restaurant as a kid, bussed tables, became a server and then studied in cuiliary school and university specifically around that business. Worked in it for years and years. Even with that stuff in my background, I'd be very very wary of opening a resto myself, even if I had unlimited $$. It's just a tough business, and even tougher when there is an uncertain economy. One of the things I also saw with some of the businesses I worked in, especially in NY, is that many restaurants are used for laundering money. That's another discussion but it happens all the time.
ReplyDelete+1. Preach! The Restaurant industry is not for wimps.
ReplyDeleteTo fight with each other don't you have to care a little and be in a real marriage ?Always thought J t and biel are a lavender marriage strictly for bearding and producing test tube babies
ReplyDeleteJust know: at least one person is seeing your posts!
