Blind Item #5
On that new hit pay cable show, two of the married big named actors are each sleeping with one of the lesser known co-stars. Neither has any idea the other is spending time with her.

The wording confused me. I didn't realize the actors were sleeping with the *same* lesser known co-star until the last line.
Then I was confused that maybe the two actors were married to *each other*.
I'm not having a good day. =\
Nooo. I want Bobby Cannavale to remain faithful to Rose Byrne.
Nooooo, not Paul Giamatti! John Adams lives!
Oh, who am I kidding? He's probably a huge whore.
Nope... This wording will still confuse you on a good day. Not because of you, but because it is poorly worded.
Bobby & Rose are not married.
Juno Temple and Ray Romano and James Jagger
or Malin
Anyone who sleeps with Paul Giamatti has a stronger stomach than me!
I love Vinyl but it's not a hit (hopefully yet). And I don't think James Jagger is that of a big star of that show.
I think Cannavale is madly in love with Rose Byrne, espically now that they have a baby.
And yep, Rose and Bobby are not married too.
I tried to watch Vinyl but it was sooo bad I couldn't stand it. No offense to my (younger) fellow readers, but that show is such an inaccurate representation of the 1970s/ music business. I joke with friends that shows like that one is what the 70s look like when millenials are in charge. I also can't stand Olivia whateverhername is, horrible actress.
Gross. What a nasty cum-dumpster
Her name is Wilde and she is a really underrated actress (talentwise) actually.
omg @ ryan, i thought the same thing-i couldn't get thru the episode i watched either thinking it was like a bad contrived ABC movie of the week. But,i'm going to give it another go b/c everyone has said it takes a little while to get into & then I'll get hooked(& there IS good music in it so that's a huge bonus).
-The other thing is that it's created by Rich Cohen & Mick Jagger... & Martin Scorsese, soooooo,we're definately not talking millenials in charge & alot of the scenes are taken from actual situations that the Rolling stones encountered or that Rich went thru when he went on the Tour with them back in the early 90s...so there's that....oh & if you see Olivia Wilde in "Meadowland" you may think differently about her acting chops..anyways,here's to 2nd chances w/Vinyl..lol.
That's right. I forgot about the Scorsese/Jagger connection. It's pure fantasy, designed to entertain millenials! That's it! Mick J is such a greedy phony anyway, the fact that the show is such a contrived pile of poo makes even more sense now. Scenes like Altamont wouldn't make for fun TV.
Based on the stories I've been told, it's actually a fairly accurate representation.
@back again
I think you'll not regret it trying it for the 2nd time. Yep the show is not for everyone, and starting slow, but at least I think it getting better and better. It is really starting to came alive.
And as for Olivia and Meadowland. I always taught she is good (espcially after Drinking Buddies). Even I don't know she can be as GREAT as she was in Meadowland. And a lot of people owe her for not recognnizing that performance at all. Nicole Kidman got nominated for an freaking Oscar for a somewhat similar role in Rabbit Hole, but I think Olivia's performance was way better! And almost nobody noticed it last year. Shame.
lol..i'm gonna check it out this rainy weekend..If the show delves into live concerts I actually think that they would recreate a chaotic scene ala Altamont ..how could they not? it's one of the most remembered nights in concert history & changed how concerts were handled.(of course in VINYL's reenactment, the Band would also be portrayed as victims).
Frankly, i think YOUR untold stories from the restaurant world & the behind the scenes shenanigans you've mentioned(like all the laundering) would make for interesting tv!
-Okay will do..we have just the rainy weekend for it too.
-Re: Olivia--it's strange that noone really promoted her performance.Look at "Room"-that film wasn't on anyone's list as a must see movie but the promotors/producers did a great job getting the message out that you gotta see Brie Larsen's performance and voila!
I don't got that either. Meadowland had a great cast, superb performances by both leads (Luke Wilson also had his career best I think), the director, Reed Morano just survived cancer before shooting the movie. It is still standing 100% on Rotten Tomatoes til this day. And even Scorsese did a screening for the movie, And all they got is an Independent Spirit Award nomitation for cinematography for Reed Morano(who shoot and directed the movie)...
About who and which show?
