I wonder why all the mea cupla stories being flooded by this former A list mostly movie actress and her PR team all manage to skip the whole cheating thing she did which caused her divorce. Just going to sweep that right under the rug.
I do not feel sorry for Drew at all, because when you cheat on your spouse, you are being disrespectful to that spouse. (That's my 2 cents. Stepping down from my soap box.)
These guys spent alot of their downtime on Nantucket(his folks have a place there) and they were always doing stuff together & seemed pretty genuine in their affection for each other(both were very down to earth & friendly)--sorta a shame but noone ever knows what truly goes on behind closed doors does one?!? (unless of course someone's snuck a camera in one's peephole ala Erin Andrews or the like).
They dated quite a long time (Hollywood-wise). He had plenty of time to see her go nutso on numerous occasions. While his father is famous in Art and Fashion circles, he is not. Latching on to Drew's Star was a step up for him. She is involved in wine, eye wear, make-up, and other endeavors. He works at an art gallery, I think. This never works out when the wife is bringing home the bacon, frying it and making BLTs with it. Sad for both parties.
I also feel for Drew, I was hoping that this would last. Given her family history of mental illness & addiction and how she seems to have overcome the demons of her youth, she seems better adjusted than most people.
I posted this elsewhere already but I worked in the restaurant business for many years. Have met many public figures. Friends say I should write a book. Anyway- met DB a couple of times. She is a genuinely nice person. Or at least appears to be. Makes me wonder if having two babies in succession/post partum depression were factors. It's very common and very difficult.

And of course her ex-husband is innocent, right? *rolling his eyes*
ReplyDeleteAnd there we are; "news" from rags who just wants to make everything more dramatic than it actually is.
ReplyDeleteWhat's a cupla?

ReplyDeletei believe it's a cupola that didn't quite cut it to deserve a prime position on the roof so instead it's used as a spousal doghouse.
ReplyDeleteAh-ha!
ReplyDeleteSpousal doghouse - I like it!
I have a soft sport for Drew. Sometimes I think the fact that she's such a free spirit can be a challenge for partners.
ReplyDeleteThey were the same way in Montecito/Santa Barbara. Sweet couple.
ReplyDeleteBut we have to remember that Drew's batshit and she's always been batshit.

ReplyDeleteShe and Jennifer Garner make me sick.
