Last year, with the help of a publicist and a great marriage story, this foreign born A list mostly movie actor had a great award season. Another year and a new angle. Hey, make the wife pregnant and have another great award season. No one has seen through the game yet, so why not keep going with it.
Eddie Redmayne
OT
ReplyDeleteMy last mayor, Rob Ford died! The one from Toronto (He was the one that smoked crack and was always made fun of on talk shows). He had cancer...
Shut up! Really? Fat slob crack-guy?
ReplyDeleteya--he was only 46?!
ReplyDeleteSo Etsy is suggesting that Redmayne's marriage is for publicity only? Hmm...
ReplyDeletePleomorphic liposarcoma is really rare, arises from fat cells and is more likely to spread than other sarcomas. He didn't have much of a chance, frankly.
ReplyDeleteNot only that, he's suggesting that it's not typical for a newly married couple to have a baby a year later ::::::eye roll:::::
ReplyDeleteHe comes off as such an obnoxious try-hard drama kid. Plus he's a spoiled rich brat who went to school with Prince William
ReplyDeleteI have always suspected that Redmayne is gay.
ReplyDeleteWell of COURSE it's Redmayne. The other showmance marriage didn't result in a "great awards season" for the guy involved. +cough+Cumberbatch+cough+
ReplyDeleteLeo won everything so I'm curious as to who would have won if he hadn't been in the race this year. Fassy never campaigns. Trumbo was terrible, as was The Danish Girl. Damon?
ReplyDeleteCan't stand Eddie RedCarpet. Jake Gyllenhaal should have won last year for Nightcrawler and wasn't even nominated because of all the blatant, pandering Oscar bait of which The Theory of Everything was the worst offender.
ReplyDeleteTerrible, terrible year for movies. Damon's nomination was a joke. The best lead performance in a movie this year was little Jacob Tremblay in Room. The Academy is willing to nominate little girls for Best Actress but little boys? Only for supporting and no way was Jacob supporting. He was the real lead.
ReplyDeleteRemember that stupid movie he came out in "Jupiter Ascending". Very much of a Drama Queen in that one LOL.
ReplyDeleteRIP Rob Ford you made me laugh, and you probably gave Donald Trump an idea that any loser can run for a govt. job.
ReplyDeleteBest. Mayor Ever.
ReplyDeleteIt's weird that he died so quickly but I know sometimes cancers can be that way.
I agree
ReplyDeleteYa know, cause typically, people only get married after finding out they are pregnant!
ReplyDeleteI can't think of one politician I don't view as a loser. Not one. I'm too objective I think - always too aware that 'success' or goodness is often a perception.
ReplyDeleteYep, Toothy Tile was robbed!
ReplyDeleteAnd sorry about Rob Ford, who was an intentionally hilarious guy and accidental (I hope) mayor
It used to be you went into politics because you wanted to help people, like doctors went into medicine. Now both professions have become so corrupted they are virtually useless and people who want to do good look somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteWhy should he have won for playing a tranny? I'm glad he didn't!
ReplyDeleteWhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa? He seems like a real poon hound.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many Trump supporters are here...
ReplyDeleteWhy not get nominated for playing a transgender.
Wow lot of Eddy hate in here. I think he is a fine actor, just really wanted Leo to win coz he was overdue. Eddy does appear slightly effeminate, but then he's British, hard to tell with them
ReplyDeleteDitto
ReplyDeleteEddie is talented and gorgeous. That is all.
ReplyDeleteHe's the male Hilary Swank. He makes blatant Oscar bait movies, and he wins as often as not. At the same time he's practically nobody's favorite actor and not a particularly interesting celebrity.
