Blind Item #4

This A+ list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner/nominee already has several kids, but has been trying to have one more. It has been a nightmare doing it the natural method with multiple miscarriages so she is breaking down to use IVF. Apparently it goes against her beliefs which is why it is so hard for her to use it now.

She has claimed to want another child with Toth, her hubby, since she 2 with Philippe. Beliefs being southern Baptist, perhaps...

  5. No procedure is going to get Angelina Jolie pregnant - she had her ovaries removed last year.

That's a good answer (are two kids 'several'?)..also thought of Kate Winslet

Who is a Catholic star? I don't think most Christian religions prohibit IVF, except for Catholicism, which prohibits all assisted reproduction.

I'm not sure whether Scientology prohibits it, but it does have weird medical prohibitions.

Reese and Toth actually had a child together. So, three sounds more like several. There was a story about the couple fighting about whether to have more children. So, she's a good guess.

  10. She has 2 kids with Ryan and 1 with Toth bringing the total to 3 which I believe would count as several.

    @ettacettera:)
She has 3...2 with ex hubby Ryan Philippe, 1 with current hubby- and I think she expressed(in an article) wanting 1 more with Toth.....

Cosigning. I think S. Baptist beliefs are much like Catholics regarding IVF.

Although, she does like her booze so how's that playing out?

I thought she had a hysterectomy or at least had her ovaries removed - but I may have dropped a thought thread along the way

Well, they don't allow psychiatric drugs of any kind - but maybe adding new scientologists is encouraged by any & all available methods.

i knew a woman who was a very devout catholic and had IVF. they had to get some special permission from some higher up whoop de doo in the church to do it, but they gave it to her. she had both her kids that way.

  17. When they say they got 'permission' it is code for we paid the archdiocese tons o' cash! Been there, done that.

  18. I thought she did too. Maybe I confused that with the breast thing.

I am Southern Baptist and there is no such "rule" against IVF or any other birth control.

If it said foreign born I'd say Kate Winslet

  21. Angie did have her ovaries removed. She's talked about being in menopause. And I really don't see IVF as being "against her beliefs" anyway.

  22. When I read this I thought of someone from Scientology, but can't think of anyone who would be looking to get pregnant

  23. Not for you maybe, but there are about a bilion and seventy different forms of "Christianity". Interesting that you all get your "rules" from the exact same source, but none of you can agree on what they are!

If the a-lister was raised in Christian Science this would make sense but the only star I know of with ties to CS is Val Kilmer.

Please don't lump the "crazies" with regular church going folks. You may not believe but some of us do and life is better because of it.

  26. Julia Roberts had her twins with IVF assistance. Though she has had miscarriages since the last child was born, at this point IVF probably isn't even an option for her being as she is getting up there.

    Ignorance.
I doubt any human is truly Christian acc to the Bible. If you're not doing what is written or deviate, that's not Christian. No sex outside marriage, women can't divorce men, & must keep hair covered & be silent in church, & many, many more.
Don't understand why women would want to follow a religion which completely subjugates them either.
And why don't ppl realize the Bible is merely the (acc to KJ version - 1st translated to English) "inspired word of God" as it clearly states. Not literal, ***inspired***.
