Blind Item #11

By my count, this B list actress was on cable, network, web and almost television shows simultaneously. She also found some time to do a couple of movies. One of the movies she was supposed to do only a smattering of press, but one of the two female leads didn't get along very well with the other female lead or any of the stars of the movie. So, she was excused from most press and promotion while the always gets along with everyone B lister took over and was loved by all.

I'm guessing an actress whose name starts with a letter for the villainess, and the actress whose name ends with a letter for the replacement.

    Sounds like Alison Brie.
    Movie- How to Be Single
    Cable- Mad Men
    Network/Web- Community
    Almost Network- Bojack Horseman

Assuming Johnson and Wilson not getting along.

  13. I agree, Alison Brie is definitely the B-lister and Rebel Wilson is the A-lister.

Alison fits the criteria. At one point she was recurring on a cable show (AMC - Mad Men), which she was filming at the same time as working as part of the main cast of a show on a network (NBC - Community), and recording as a voice actor on a Web series (Netflix - Bojack Horseman). She also took on exec producing duties for a cable/almost show (TVLand - Teachers) and filmed How to be Single between the time Community was cancelled on NBC and was picked up by Yahoo Screen for its final season.

Plus, she's a side character in How to be Single, so the shit-ton of publicity she's done for the movie is surprising to say the least.

Wilson isn't doing a whole lot of publicity for the movie, despite being one of the leads. And what she does is either mostly on her own or paired up with Brie.

Brie is doing some publicity on her own, but mostly is either paired up with Wilson, or she's part of a trio with Dakota Johnson and Leslie Mann.

I meant "Almost Television". She was really good in "Sleeping with Other People"

This is getting old. I really hate deleting comments due to unpopular opinions. But this shrimpnoodle doesn't even have an opinion to offer. Could CDAN not block this hair shirt knitter's IP already?

I think you nailed it, but does that mean no one got along with Rebel?

  22. I'm guessing it's Rebel vs. Dakota.

Leslie and Dakota have both said in interviews that they got really friendly on-set, so it would kind of make sense if Leslie came down on Team Dakota.

Brie just always struck me as one of those actresses who keeps her ego in check for the good of whatever project she's involved with. Plus she worked with Chevy Chase for years, so I suspect her scale of "people who are difficult to work with" is probably severely skewed.

Another key thing, I think, is that Brie has said in interviews that she didn't really work all that much with the other three actresses. So she probably wasn't around to witness whatever happened to sour things between Rebel and the others.
