Old Hollywood Blind Item #2 - Mr. X

The estranged wife of this permanent A lister is in a battle with her son. They previously had agreed to kill the A lister and divide his money leaving out all the other relatives. Instead, the son killed the actor but only after changing the actor's will.

    This makes sense - I was thinking the death occurred far in the past, but that's not a valid assumption.
    Especially fitting as the item says "her son" - Mark Rooney is Mickey's stepson.

    Mickey Rooney estate was only worth 18,000. He lived large, gambled and was terrible with hanging on to his money. I can't imagine those idiots killed him thinking there was a pot of gold under his couch waiting for them to find. He was 93 when he died, he was lucky to be rid of those vultures.
