Mr. X Blind Item #2 - Golden Globes

Not just rude to reporters, this A+ list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner/nominee and a winner last night was also rude to a co-star from her movie who she called trivial. Yeah, that trivial person's mom is beloved by millions. Oh, and the trivial person owns a television show.

A list actresses can become "trivial" over time. Karma sweetie!

JLaw has outgrown her cutesy/awkward phase and is now in arrogant/abrasive territory when she should be gracious. Demanding respect without giving respect is a one way ticket to a stripper pole. Don't be a cunt.

J Law and Melissa Rivers: in her defense, every single woman who was there last night is going to get picked apart, torn down, and made fun of for what they wore on Melissa Rivers' show tonight. Eff the Fashion Police.

Did not dig her schtick last night at all!

Baloney...sounds more like someone is pissed that this A+ List actress won the Globe last night and is launching a smear campaign...Weinstein?. Huvane?.

The thing is, the actress in question was not in fact rude to reporters according to those that were actually there. Apparently, the exchange was lighthearted and even the reporter in question who curiously has not identified himself, was joking and laughing with the actress.

So...rumors being spread with false reports, stories/BI's being planted on gossip sites...all during Oscar season?.

Folks, this is what's known as a smear campaign.

I didn't find her shtick with Shumer funny at all. It was uncomfortable. I think JLaw is getting to caught up in herself. I used to really like her, now I find it hard to tolerate listening to her.

And yes- totally unrefined when she speaks.....the "charm" that once possessed is waning, I feel.

I also found it kind of annoying. I really wouldn't be surprised if Schumer and J-Law have slept together.

Look I don't like Jennifer Lawrence but I think it's insane that everyone just immediately talks about the banter between her & Schumer like that was all from the mind of J-Law. The GG have writers that come up with all that banter, all the comedy bits to fill time & if they're lucky, get a laugh. If the GG writers didn't write it then odds are it was Schumer, the standup comedian that would have come up with all of that.

    2 kinds of people

the ones on the red carpet who are important
    and
the ones on the red carpet who TALK to the important

melissa rivers is the latter. sorry not sorry. your mom was famous, now she's dead. you remain, and still are talking to the important people instead of being one of them.

+10000. joan rivers might have been funny but the being cruel to celebrities over dresses and outfits they probably didn't actually pick anyway is just a sad and pathetic way to make money.

    Love Jennifer Lawrence, great actress.
Don't know anything about Schumer, but suspect the negative stuff is wearing off on Ms. Lawrence.
BTW, Schumer looks like the kind of gal, who, if she gained another 50 pounds, would have a pig face.

  31. meowie8:52 AM

    Agree.

As for slighting Melissa Rivers, don't you gossip beasts recall how Joan cracked that Jennifer "f$c<ed her way to an Oscar" or something similar to that effect? There's bad blood there.

I don't know who's doing it or if it's a coincidence but if it's deliberate then it's got Harvey written all over it, the prick.

I don't even know who his girl is, this year, Vikander?

As opposed to the Cabbage Patch Doll face she has now?

  36. I was in the press room for her interviews after she won. The girls, is sadly, getting to big for herself and isn't aware that her sarcasm is coming off rude. I think it's 50/50. Half unaware and half too full of herself. She all but called a reporter stupid and dismissed her because she didn't like her question. Also, the Weinstiens and studio execs have much larger ways to "smear" someone and better things to do with their time then plant a story on a gossip site.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm one of the JLaw lovers. She likes to have fun, and maybe her sarcasm is too much sometimes, but she's just trying to have fun.

JLaw explained the rift between she and Joan Rivers on the Andy Cohen's WWHL and then explained how she went out of her way specifically to clear the air with Melissa before filming started and said things were cool between them. JLaw has got a nonstop, mischievous sense of humor, and I am sure she snarks like we all do, but she would have no reason to make this remark...this is a BS made up pile of doo doo

  40. Claire3:30 PM

I'll just say: I hate Jennifer Lawrence.

The biggest reason is because she is ridiculously overrated.

But also, I hate how she thinks she can be a bitch and people will think it's "cute" and "funny."

It's neither, just like the woman herself.

She is so fucking fake and full of herself. This is what happens when you adulate people, it goes to their heads and creates a monster.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Claire3:50 PM

Too many people treated her like she could no wrong, now she has a big head. Can't stand her, and never got the appeal in the first place.

  42. Tapioca4:38 PM

Lawrence and her dirty egocentric mouth, that basic bitch is annoying -_-

  43. Shiba5:36 PM

Whoa! That's a little out of left field.
Is this based on your propensity for girl-on-girl fantasizing or…?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Jules8:27 PM

Right, all over the news, like rapid fire. I think this is a D-Day like assault to "put her in her place"... the old I made you and I can break you bull that asshole male execs ALWAYS foist on successful women.

Lawrence did nothing wrong here, and the reaction is over the top simply because there are those who are looking for any reason they can to pounce. I think it will blow over, especially because Lawrence does not have a bitch rep...sarcastic, not mean.

It always seems to heat up whenever Lawrence is involved in awards season, which is another reason why this is happening-she won the Globe, somebody is afraid she could be a major presence at the Oscars (thing is, she may not be nominated)...if not, I'm betting this nonsense disappears, quickly.

Are you kidding??...of course Weinstein uses gossip sites just like he will use EVERY part of the internet that he can to smear someone.
I think it was Weinstein who used the internet press to smear Hathaway...twitter is a useful tool because it's full of useful idiots. The internet gossip sites, social media were also used to smear Winslet, Stewart, Portman...all successful women, too.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Jules8:41 PM

Yes, and there is Chris Trondsen who is a reporter for Pacific Rim, who was present and says the exchange was definitely not rude, but lighthearted.

I mean, we have reporters speaking out in her defense, who claim the whole thing is being waaay overblown and also that you can tell she's joking.

If this whole thing isn't a setup of some kind, then it's an instance of something really minor being overblown and used to create manufactured outrage.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Charlotte8:44 PM

No, Joan Rivers said that about Kristen Stewart not Jennifer Lawrence.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Charlotte8:47 PM

So, you have proof?...how in the hell could you make that statement?...prove it, then. How misogynistic of you. All successful women have slept their way to the top-it's never just talent, hard work, perseverance, etc.,...

    ReplyDelete
  49. Charlotte8:51 PM

Nope, her rep has always been nice, easy to work with, congenial, etc., she's just more assertive these days because she has more power...of course that ALWAYS translates to not nice and that's ridiculous.

I don't think she is taking any shit these days, but still a nice woman.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I like her as an actress, but I think she should not be talking too much. She lacks the self-awareness required when you open your mouth in front of cameras or large audiences. Case in point: that weird message to her director "I want us to be buried next to each other" is WTF all the way. Just NO

  53. vodianova9:42 AM

She believes her own hype now. You can just tell she thinks everything she says is cute and awkward and the general public will eat it all up. I don't think she was always that way and that she was faking the whole time. I think she became arrogant and let all the fame get to her head. Now she'll say whatever she wants and let some true colours slip because people will find it adorable, but people can see through that shit. They will call you out if you're a dick. I also find her extremely overrated. She plays her characters the same way. There's no growth in the performance. It doesn't help that she's playing 30-40 year olds. She gets first dibs on everything. Surely she's getting 20-something parts but she keeps going for the older ones that she's way too mature for. Sorry, but I don't buy her as a struggling mother of two. People actually put her in the same class as Blanchett, Streep, Winslet, etc. Just because she's playing parts better suited for older women, doesn't put her in the same class as the older brilliant actresses. And don't even get me started on her thing with David O. Russell. He creeps me out.
