Considering she walked in on her significant other cheating on her three hours prior to this award ceremony, this OITNB actress held her own remarkably well this past week.
I don't get his appeal, he is not even funny, let alone attractive, and he seems to be a womanizer.... She should leave him, maybe she has.... But good for her to keep her shit together and show up. Hope she stays off drugs, she is very talented. Portlandia can be funny but it is mostly not at all. Season 1 okay, the rest, not so much....IMO
Fred Armisen seems like the kinda guy who gets given a chance b/c he's not much to look at so they figure he's a good guy to make up for it, and it ends up being the exact opposite b/c the man is bitter and insecure. Always follow your heart and trust your gut. Good on paper does not mean good IRL.
I just spent waaaaay too much time reading that and all the comments but as someone who has (sadly) dated someone who I would consider to be a sociopath I found it fascinating. Interesting the debate in the comments about emotional abuse vs physical- made me think to my own situation and how much I put up with. If half of what is being said about Fred is true stay away ladies!
Blind doesn't say whether it was a man or a woman. It'd make sense that he leans male as a bisexual, so gets his sociopath kicks with women and then gets a reputation as a ladies man. He probably loved that article on gawker, it's probably the only reason he does it.
Please, for the love of God, do not move here. Our housing is short, rent is sky high, traffic is horrid, and the city has lost its charm. Transplants have permanently modified what was once great about Portland and turned out home into another Los Angeles.
^this is what I was worried about when I first thought of moving there. Where around there would be better? I live in a rather tourist-y area of FL and the area has been super built up the last 10 years or so and it's become a totally different city. It's lost it's 1920's charm and is now just like every other big city in Florida.
You mean Elisabeth Moss. She has nothing good to say about him, and it has to do with him as a person, not even whatever orientation he might or might not have.
Yes it went to hell in the last 5 years. I lived there from 1995- 2015. At least I witnessed the greatness it was. Its all new tech people and mega rich. Most of the original people moved or are working poor living in cars/rvs. They are opening up parking lots for them because so many cant afford rent now. The newbies complain about the homeless when they and their overlords bosses are responsible! Your $2,000 crappy remodeled 1bedroom apartment was theirs a few years ago for $800. SEATTLE SUCKS NOW!
That's what you get for letting a bunch of politicians manipulate the well meaning folks of Seattle into walking head first to their own demise. That's what happens when you let emotions get the better of common sense and logic. I used to love that city and now it's just a bunch of wannabe celebrities and cool hipsters, most of which know how to talk a good game but are some of the most dishonest people you will ever meet.
What a weird looking couple
ReplyDeleteI agree they are an odd pair-but still together I think....so somethings working?!
ReplyDeletePortlandia has made me want to move to Portland. I love all that peace love and feminist stuff. My bad.
ReplyDeleteI don't get his appeal...AT ALL. and I really don't like Portlandia--although I love Carrie
ReplyDeleteMe too, when I watch I wanna visit at least- chilly though :(
ReplyDeleteHunh. I always thought she was gay. In any case, totally not getting the Fred Armisen attraction...He comes across as such an unpleasant person.

ReplyDeleteTry Seattle for a big city. Or N Cali. Having lived there for a few & still visit occasionally, it's not all that. Even San Francisco is better.
ReplyDeleteThat's not sociopathic, just slutty. ☺
ReplyDeleteugh.good to know you got out of it...it sucks.that's why it's called abuse.much easier said than done when people say 'just leave'.
ReplyDeletei'm with you on all 3 points there.
ReplyDeletehey,you changed your Avi again...oh no..not again?!

ReplyDeleteFred doesn't like women. He sleeps with them, but that's it. He likes to hang w the boys a lot. Ex-wife Olsen can attest.

ReplyDeleteRight, I had the wrong Elizabeth. I'm not suggesting that he's gay or not, just the way he treats women.
ReplyDeleteWill take your advice.
ReplyDeleteI wondered about that too!
