This former A list mostly television actress who had her very own hit network show stayed in the news when her show went belly up. Given a new lease on show business life the past few years she says that she thinks about quitting every single day because of how miserable life is by working with her A list mostly television actress co-star.
Mayim Bialik/Kaley Cuoco
doh.. really?
ReplyDeleteWell done Tricia13! On only the 191st guess, I mean 1st guess again!
ReplyDeleteThat made no sense
ReplyDeleteKaley thats an awful thing to say about Blossom :(.
ReplyDeleteOh, wait..........
Doesn't or hasn't everyone had crappy co-workers?
ReplyDeleteWhy is this *any* different?
How many ppl would be okay putting up w/ this to have more $s for selves/family? 95% of the population???
Crazy.
She claims she only went back to acting so she would have more time to raise her kids, since being a neuroscientist was soooooooooooooooooooo time consuming.
ReplyDeleteThis actually really surprises me, and I hope it's not true. For whatever reason, I'd decided Kaley is one of the good ones albeit with poor taste in men.
ReplyDeleteLike I said when this was first posted: the tension is probably because Kaley is making more money ($1 Million an episode?).
ReplyDeleteIf Mayim is thinking of quitting, then she should Quit!
But, Mayim won't quit because what other show is out there willing to hire her?
Srsly.
ReplyDeleteI have bills, I take shit at work so I can pay them.
Cry me a river. Lord, how hard is it to show up, have everything else done for you, say a few lines and go home?
ReplyDeleteIt is, I'm sure. Medicine/science is very demanding. Much more so than show business - and there's no hiatus.
ReplyDeleteI'm just not buying Blossom's side of this fully. People don't like or say disparaging things about coworkers all the time. Especially those more vital to the task. I think she's just different from Kaley and judges her for it.
ReplyDeletei just don't think she knows how to have fun and resents kaley for obviously not caring.
ReplyDeleteShe could probably do well in indie films. Or if Lena Dunham does another show after Girls.
ReplyDeleteKaley supposed to be a nut case, and a diva. Believes all her own hype from when the show started.
ReplyDeleteWow- she has to put up with an apparently obnoxious coworker while being paid actor wages (between $60k and $100k per week in current contract signed in 2014) Most of the rest of the world has too for much less money.
ReplyDeleteFor the amount of money she's making, I'll take her place! I wouldn't mind a catty coworker if I can afford to buy a new car every week.
ReplyDeleteBlossom is actually an intelligent and smart person, being surrounded by the stupidness and junkieness of hollyweird must be a challenge for her. I hope it pays (in time and dough).
ReplyDeleteBut also, if Blossom is super religious and Penny is not...that could cause friction.
ReplyDeleteI've actually met Kaley years ago when she was on 8 Simple Rules. She was not the nicest person then. This doesn't surprise me.
ReplyDeleteThis. I feel like Blossom was used to being a huge star, and probably doesn't like being the 3rd female on the show (fourth if that hot ginger starts getting more play). I feel like a lot of stars complain about things when they aren't the biggest star on the project. Blossom's weird child raising beliefs don't scream "well adjusted and easy to get along with." I could see her being difficult and being upset when others don't bow to her will.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
ReplyDeleteVery true, Nerdista. Mayim is an observant Jew which is very rare in Hollywood. There are a lot of Jews, but being an observant Jew is something completely different. She said she's only met a handful in the business and none of them were fellow actresses. She has spoken openly about some of the friction if causes in interviews: Here's one: http://www.jewishchronicle.org/article.php?article_id=13329
ReplyDeleteShe mentioned in another interview "the tension created when others want her to work on days on which work is forbidden."
Being an observant Jewish woman esp. one who identifies as “aspiring Modern Orthodox" - she admits that her job is extremely unusual for her level of religious observance.
PS I'm not saying that's the issue with her and Kaley but I do think it's super interesting how Mayim has been balancing her work and her religion.
ReplyDeleteShe changed a lot since those days... she looks totally different.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe this. I know Mayim. She is not a gossip, not an ingrate either. No, this isn't Mayim.
ReplyDeleteThis could be conundrum for her, because I'm sure she's being teased by Kaley about her religious believes and practices. I didn't find Kaley to be a very tactical and understanding person. I'm sure that Mayim would have returned to the science if it paid better, but for now she is stuck with this one.
ReplyDeleteSo, an intelligent person brings books and reads in their trailer during down time. Then, at the end of the week, deposits their HUGE paycheck, enjoys their free time with the kids and has nada to complain about.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about this. On IG the cast posts pics with one another all the time. Kaley was just in a photo with Mayim and Raj (I forget his real name) and they were playing around with a fake doll on the set. Why take fun pics with someone who makes you so miserable?
ReplyDeleteTactical?
ReplyDeleteRemember way back on the first season of Mission Impossible Steven Hill (Dan Briggs) was the leader of the group, Steven was a strictly Orthodox Jew who refused to work on the Sabbath and would leave every Friday before dusk, filming or not, the studio down graded his part and eventually fired him. Blossom needs to stop whining and think her self lucky that they will work around her, while she pockets her large pay cheque and millions in residuals.
ReplyDeleteSteven Hill did it for a decade or more on Law & Order. He was an observant Orthodox Jew who refused to work on the Sabbath. Mayim isn't just Orthodox. She's a new-agey anti-vaxxer "neuroscientist" (who has to mention that fact constantly on her blog.) She's vegan and practices "attachment parenting" along with many, many other marginal behaviors which are not a part of Jewish Orthodoxy. She's a parenting and lifestyle extremist where the more slavish and self-negating the behavior, the better.
