This A+ list rapper/mogul who does a crappy job of running a record label spent several hundred thousand dollars wooing this foreign born A- lister in her country and B lister here to sign to his label. What she doesn’t know is that he wants her for her songwriting. She will never get another record with him in charge. His wife will though.

Emeli will probably just be happy to write for Bey. Anyone who deals with the Carters knows who's gonna get the spotlight.

ReplyDeleteThe music industry can be so fickle. It's all about the Bey. I'm sure Emeli knows what she has done. I still don't get that JayZ though. He is the definition of Fugly and money doesn't fix that.

ReplyDeleteI actually met him once in a very off-the-cuff situation and he is strangely attractive IRL. I actually didn't even recognize him at first. And he is not my type AT ALL. He was really nice, really down to earth, and very low-key. This was about ten years ago, and even though I know he's got all the baggage that comes with being Mr Z, I always kinda sorta give him a pass.

ReplyDeleteThere's no amount of money or power that would *ever* make him attractive. Not only is he fugly, he's slimey. Fugly can be overlooked, plenty of people can be besutiful w/o being physically attractive. A guy that cheats on his wife as much as he has, has people silenced b/c he was threatened by them speaking the truth, and has his ego? He could be the most beautiful man alive & would be fugly.

Her album was brilliant. One of my favorite ! Such a beautiful voice too. I hope she comes out with something again.
ReplyDeleteHands down one of the best mergers of all time. I can't believe people ever bought them as a real couple. I will say they do have a few dark dark dark things in common that could destroy them both.
