This almost permanent A list musician/producer has been telling people that the main reason his wife left him is because he would not write any more checks to a doctor who he said was more like a television preacher. There was always something new and each thing that was new would cost a ton of money and then quickly be replaced by something much newer and the cycle never ended.

I know who David Foster is, at least in a general way. I have no idea who his wife is or why her not having lyme disease is mentioned on CDaN so often.

ReplyDeleteThe problems with Lyme disease are that 1. It's difficult to diagnose. Few drs go through actual blood testing to confirm it versus just saying all the symptoms match. 2. Even more so, once appropriately diagnosed, treatment with results varies from person to person. High antibiotics versus radiation versus heat therapy etc. 3. So she may be sick or she could be perfectly faking. This is the ideal Munchausen's cover.

ReplyDeleteFew doctors go through the actual testing? That's ridiculously untrue. The problem is that the symptoms mimic many other diagnoses but eliminating or confirming LD is one of the first tests (plural, as it takes two tests to confirm) a doctor would do. She either has it or she doesn't.

ReplyDeleteIt's so creepy, I had a friend like this, bathes in the glory of her outstanding and borderline undiagnosible illness in order to excuse her demanding twenty four hour a day special needs, naps, food no massages, all the while telling you she was dying...oh yeah, this munchausens is a total thing.

ReplyDeleteMohammed Hadid is not and never was a billionaire. He designed hotels and builds mega mansions that are generally purchased by billionaires. He himself is not one though.

ReplyDeleteShe didn't fake getting her implants out - maybe all the stress is causing her to act irrationally, to "prove" her illness. Can't Lyme Disease manifest neurologically as it progresses?
