It is not often an A+ list mostly movie actor gets away with murder. It is even more rare that it happened in a time that is not Old Hollywood. It did happen back in the day. The actor in question in this blind is still really close to A+ list. The actor was stealing from his business partner. Our actor was not the money making machine he is now and was using a lot of drugs and couldn’t pay. He also had some other issues. He got in over his head and when the silent business partners came looking for their share of the profits, our actor pointed the finger at the other partner as to why there was no money to pay the silent partners. The guy got killed and our actor quickly got out of sight and stayed out of sight for about a year.
Johnny Depp/Anthony Fox/Viper Room
That's a terrible and slimy thing of him to have done, but unless he is the one who ordered a hit, wielded the knife, pulled the trigger, added the arsenic, threw the lit match or drove the car, etc, then Depp didn't commit murder.

ReplyDeleteCalling Depp a murderer is a bit much. He may have been a shitty partner and horrible friend. Fox could've fled or if he was killed the person who actually killed him is guilty.
ReplyDeleteAll of these people were shady, including Depp. Did his 'diverting funds' mean they owed some silent partners they couldn't pay? This was Blow/Chocolat/ Sleepy Hollow Depp, he certainly could have been putting most of his money up his nose. Is that was got Fox killed? Just the money? Fox was suing Depp over the money. Maybe the debtors were concerned what might come out in the lawsuit.
ReplyDeleteFox had a teenage daughter when he died and Depp ended up giving her his part of the Viper Room in 2004 so she could sell it and live off the profits.
There is no proof in the story that Depp either killed the guy or knew that blaming him would result in his death, although it is rather pathetic that some people are so quick to ASSume he's a murderer based on a piece on a website that openly admits that some of their stories are fiction or rumors only.
