Blind Item #9

This former A+ list NFL athlete was once one of the biggest players in the NFL. And one of the more outspoken. He is set to come out of the closet this summer with a book announcement to follow.

Or "Broadway Joe"... The fur coats and lip gloss kinda gave it away ..

These blinds never come through---still waiting for one of The Hills girls to come-out publicly like Enty said she would-2 years ago...

Troy Aikmen has been heavy on the lipgloss lately

  10. Troy Aikman was never considered outspoken. Opposite even.

    Agreeing with the Aikman guess.

    No - he's a swordsman.

  13. Tebow in his wildest dreams was never A+ list in the NFL, just in the media.

Yep. He was very in the Broadway scene- and known to be more than a lik"flamboyant", well say. ...:)

  16. The "outspoken" reference made me think of Terrell Owens.

Troy Aikman came first to mind, but he's not known as outspoken. He's the definition of on the DL.
"One of the biggest" has to be someone whose name is instantly recognizable, which cuts out a lot of the probably-gay players I can think of (dozens).
Terrell Owens needs money, I think. (love, love the guy). He's opinionated, well known and easy on the eyes. He's already done books, so it wouldn't be a departure.
Coming out in conjunction with the Hall of Fame thing (summer) would be an insane level of showmanship - that screams TO to me.
If not, how about Brett Favre?
I think if this was someone as long ago as Terry Bradshaw, Enty would have said "back in the day" as usual.

I think so too. I adore him, btw. Saw him play live in PHL - it was dazzling. He was a breathtaking athlete. Talent and sparkle and silliness. Amazing.
When he joined Dallas (sworn enemies), I sent him flowers in the hospital when it was reported he'd overdosed.
    I need an NFL-tervention (no I don't!)

I'd love that. I really hope some gigantic, frightening defensive player comes out one of these days.
People who are evil to other people about stuff this meaningless are always, always pussies.
Someone like Marshawn Lynch wouldn't take that crap.
    I have another dream.

I don't know that I'd call him A+, but given all the controversy that swirled around him, maybe that elevates him.

    Ricky Williams

If you remember, Williams posed for the cover of ESPN The Magazine with Mike Ditka wearing a white wedding dress after he was drafted by the Saints.

Tim Tebow. Saying that he practices absteince is a cover that he gay. He didn't have sex with former Mrs Universe. How can you not want to have sex with her.

Namath was always known as outspoken- "still outspoken " is what this article is about. Not sure of the other part though.

Honestly, I don't expect it to be someone very exciting. I think it is the NFLer who was outspoken when Michael Sam came out. There were two of them actually. One was eventually cut from the Vikings and I'm not sure what happened to the other one. I think it's that guy. He's black and looked short. He was very supportive of Sam but never came out.

He wasn't A+ but Kordell Stewart has a book coming out in March called "Truth: The Kordell Stewart Story"

Namath makes the most sense, despite trying to kiss Suzy Kolber...but in fairness to his drunk ass that hairstyle could have easily been confused with a younger guy

TO makes sense to me but shouldn't reality star/wannabe actor be added to that?

I took biggest as size over fame

  32. I know nothing about football, but good for whoever it is. It won't diminish their past accomplishments on the field & will hopefully help make the future better for gay athletes who want to live openly.

Kordell Stewart's young ex (I believe he was married 2x) was a househo in the real housewives franchise and during their break up she suggested as much.

....aanndd Marshawn Lynch is probably retiring as of this afternoon's report.
He was A+ list during the 'I'm just here so I won't get fined' stuff.
I know it's a stretch, but it'd be frickin EPIC if it was him. EP.IC.
    I love this guy, too.
T.O. or Marshawn are my final, final guesses. Because I love them & want them to be happy.

If he was ever A+, it was for about a millisecond.

  41. Kno Won Uno9:35 AM

I'm relying entirely too much on Enty's A+ rating.
If it's accurate, most of the possibilities have been covered here.
If this is made up, we'll never know. =(

This blind is faker than Daniel Craig's hair. Pro footballers aren't gay! They just spend a lot of time showering together and sometimes they get curious about how various things might feel inside of them, that's all.

    ReplyDelete
  45. No, Derek got it. It's so easy it's in the name, butt+kiss hello? It's easy easy!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I also want to come out! Here it is....I am straight! Yes, you read that right...I am straight! Now where is my magazine cover In Touch?
Seriously these self absorbed twats that have to 'announce' their sexuality and milk the media is starting to bore me immensely. Nobody cares who or what you are boning!

Troy Aikman is gay but I can't ever see him coming out.

    I'm stupid, boni

  49. Gadzooks3:41 AM

Aikman not gay, married 22 years. Only reason rumors started was because he wasn't into the party scene like the other Dallas players in the 90s.

People find it hard to believe Tebow is committed to not having sex until marriage. But I can see why people get suspicious. He's had plenty of opportunities if he wanted to take advantage of them(getting married to non celebrity type).

    ReplyDelete
  50. Aikman. Enty already said he had an affair with a sportswriter during his career.
"Outspoken" probably refers to his work on NFL games, where he says whatever he's thinking and doesn't try to protect the players or coaches.

O.J. Maybe he found someone special in prison.
