Jaden Smith - new face of womenswear http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/will-smiths-son-as-the-new-face-of-louis-vuitton-womenswear-might-seem-progressive-but-its-a6797461.html
Is it because of this? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3384070/Jaden-Smith-17-revealed-new-face-Louis-Vuitton-WOMENSWEAR-dons-skirt-pose-three-female-models-luxury-brand-s-spring-campaign.html
I hope Jaden finds happiness in whatever gender he decides to be. It's kind of trendy to be in transition, so hopefully both parents will be accepting especially considering he's already booking modeling jobs.
I always find the Smiths the most interesting people, always so enlightening and not at all frightening to the listener. For example, her 2014 interview with Tavis Smiley was not the least bit cringe worthy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDKjKdRVdgE
What is it with kids wanting to transition to another gender these days?! They do realize that this fad is not like going through a bad makeup phase, right? Anything to be trendy......
10-20 years ago the fad was coming out as lesbian. I know of so many families where their college age kids experimented, came out, were completely accepted by family and friends, then ended up in straight relationships. I think everyone's got a touch of bisexual in them, and everyone's got a touch of wondering what it would be like to be the opposite gender. Obviously being gay/les or being trans are a real thing. But many young people struggle to figure out who they are in one way or another.
Just because trans people are getting more attention in the news doesn't mean everyone transitioning (teens included) are doing it to be trendy or to hop on a fad. One really has to be deeply entrenched in their cis-gendered privilege to say something as silly as someone transitioning to be fucking on trend.
