ReplyDeleteand Dianne Warren
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she just up and said "Give me a songwriting credit or I'll make sure you name is Shit not Linda Perry!" and admitted to doing it because it's sure been all over the internet :(

ReplyDeleteI had trouble deciphering the question.
ReplyDeleteI just hope Gaga doesn't win, she is already unsufferable.

ReplyDeleteC'mon one more guess!! You can do it, buddy!!
ReplyDeleteTrue story--many years ago I knew a guy in a regional band. He asked me to give him a line to a song he was writing. I did. He gave me a credit on his album, but wouldn't agree to royalties (which would have only been pennies I think.) But I thought the album credit was cool-it maybe sold 1,000 cds tops.
ReplyDeleteTruer words...
ReplyDeleteIt's unfortunate that Diane Warren, who should get an Oscar, is saddled with that disgusting leech on the credits. Now I hope the song loses.
ReplyDeleteI also hope the Emmy committee completely ignores Stephanie G. Lady Gag, indeed.
times infinity!
ReplyDeletegaga still cant make hits
ReplyDeleteshe's gotta pay for success now!
Gaga was nominated and won a Golden Globe - not an Academy Award.
ReplyDeletewinner/nominee means they were at least a nominee but might be a winner. Sometimes he flat out says winner, but Enty usually does winner/nominee to try and not make it as easy to guess. In this case it's as clear as day since Linda Perry said all of this a week or two ago when Gaga got nominated for the Oscar.
ReplyDelete"So I got that going for me. Which is nice."
ReplyDelete+1000
ReplyDeleteShe is a current nominee for an Academy Award.
ReplyDeleteWho knows. Diane may have done this for the marketability. Diane has written some incredible Academy Award nominated songs that never won such as Because You Loved Me, Nothing Gonna Stop Us Now, Don't Want to Miss A Thing, Music of My Heart, How Do I Live, There You'll Be ... She really is way overdue for an Oscar.
ReplyDeleteI read an article/interview about Diane Warren the other day. In it, they said Gaga has acknowledged the piece was pretty complete when she came on. She was responsible for some arrangement changes made to the song. Warren said the song originally had a quiter ending, but Gaga gave it more power. The article made it sound like Warren was fine with the situation because Gaga is bringing attention and possibly why the song got the nomination.
ReplyDelete@sandybrook Money is soon gone, but your name lives on!
ReplyDeleteNo kidding!
ReplyDeleteIf Diane Warren is cool with it, i'm good. The changing one word for credit is what I call pulling a Beyonce
