This almost A list mostly movie actor is doing lots of press for his new film. It should catapult him to A list, but it is a shaky way to be an A lister. Anyway, in the background you may have noticed a very familiar looking woman. Maybe you thought to yourself she is a PR person, either for the actor or for the studio. Nope. She is a very plain looking, nondescript looking woman because she hides her features to some extent by using wigs and also wearing baggy clothing. One day she might be a blonde and the next day a brunette, but she is always there. The face never changes, but the accouterments do. She is known as The Assistant. Seriously, just like that with the caps and everything. She gets paid a lot of money to do one thing and that is to make the person she is working for happy. They are always big box office movies. These are movies that cost a ton of money to make and need a lot of press and a lot of commitments from the star. The Assistant is paid by the studio and she is not cheap. She costs about $25K a day and has a minimum fee of 30 days. She is generally hired when the guy, and it is always guys she works with is single and been known to get in trouble with drugs and booze or has a problem with getting caught up with too many women, or not showing up to places on time. The Assistant keeps him on schedule. Very little or no drinking. She keeps him away from other women and clubs. She gets him to the right place at the right time in the right clothes. She is his mealtime companion and his bedtime companion. She never leaves his side the entire time. She makes herself look different each day so the actor doesn't have to answer questions about a girlfriend. She never looks the same two days in a row. Often she can go a week without looking remotely the same. The next thing you know, the original host was gone and this celebrity who essentially came out of nowhere landed the job. From day one she insisted she be paid the most of anyone on the show. Not just the most, but double what anyone else was making. This coming from a person who had never made more than scale before.
When she was nominated for an Emmy and didn't win she accused the network of not spending enough money on promoting her campaign. She went into rages because she didn't have billboards and full page ads in the trade publications touting her. Despite the nature of the program she insists on working as little as possible. Often people are waiting for her for hours. They can't proceed without her and are held hostage basically until she decides to show up or deems herself camera ready. When her work is done she does not talk to anyone on the show. She treats the crew like crap. She treats the people appearing on the show like crap. The only time she is ever nice to anyone is if there is some celebrity on the show who is higher in status than her. The thing is, everyone is scared to fire her. They keep hoping she will get another job and quit. There are some on the show who want it to take a hiatus for a season or two so she will move on and they can bring it back without her.

Anyway, our actor was hooking up with a local woman. He was experimenting with drugs which he still does now. Usually he goes for more of the hallucinogenic variety rather than coke. Combined with the steroids and HGh he takes, he can be this rage machine that thinks he is seeing things. Since there were only two people in the room when it happened, no one knows for sure what led to it, but a woman was killed. The same woman he had been hooking up with. She had a broken neck and burns on her body. At the time it happened there was a massive hurricane in the area and no power. Production on the movie had been shut down because of the wind and rain. Our actor was staying in a house he was renting. One of the crew was called to the house by an assistant director and told to bring a tarp and some heavy duty tape. He went over to the house and the assistant director met him at the door holding a lantern. The crew member saw what he thought was a mannequin's body lying on the floor. he thought it was a mannequin because he didn't think it was possible for a human to be in that position. Probably why she was dead. He handed over the tarp and tape and then left. Another crew member said that he was asked the same night if there was some kind of bulldozer available. he said yes, and when he was asked what it was needed for, he was told they just wanted to see if one was available in case there was extensive storm damage. When that crew member showed up at the holding area where the production kept all vehicles and equipment two days later, the lock to the gate was broken but nothing was missing. The bulldozer however was in a completely different spot and was covered in mud. What is bringing all of this together now is that the assistant director who was making all the calls is not receiving money from the actor any longer and has been talking to other people about selling the information he has about the woman and what happened.
