This A list comic actress is being super secretive about her weight loss, but she has had liposuction several times. The thing is, she is going around telling women to embrace themselves as they are and doing the complete opposite.
As everyone knows, dieting is very, very hard. Counting calories is tiresome. And, it takes too long to lose the weight! If I was 100 pounds over weight, I'd do weight loss surgery, too.
+1million-- everytime Lena posts those awful instagrams in her workout gear i think she looks the same or even worse than at the beginning of her newfound fame. I swear she's just switched her scale to a different Country's weight system in order to claim that she's lost weight...
I don't have a problem with anyone needing any kind of assistance for any personal improvement. What I DO have a problem with is touting self-acceptance for other people at the same time you're actively modifying your own body because you don't accept it. Practice what you preach - or better yet, don't preach at all.
in short, this sounds like Lena but she's still looks the same. Melissa's weight-loss is clearly noticable(diet or gastric band) but she hasn't been saying much at all about it. (sorry for the multi posts-kept dropping)
funny thing is when she will put on weight again (because be sure she will since she took the easy path meaning her appetite and diet didn't changed for the best), everybody will notice she had lipo and where she had it on her body lol
Everyone be confident and happy with what you are. if you are making lots of money.., except Miss Gabourey or Aretha.., sure, they get the big money.. but you never mention their weight.. exceptional talent doesn't care how one looks.
I love Melissa McCarthy and she looked great on Kimmel. She's hilarious and I've been a fan since seeing Go where she was on camera for 10 seconds, but stole the movie. I'm guessing Shumer.
You know, giving the advice you know you most need to follow is neither uncommon nor unethical. She's got a problem. She has a public platform from which to speak, probably feels a responsibility to put her fame to good use helping people, and knows because of her own issues how important it is to accept yourself for yourself. There's nothing duplicitous about it.
If it's Melissa, and she's had some outside help with weight loss, I don't see a problem --it's not like Star Jones who lied about it--Melissa has designed some plus size clothing--she had a background in costume design before she was an actress, and she has struggled herself with finding clothing that was flattering so I don't see anything wrong with her doing that AND choosing to have help losing weight--she is not touting some diet or exercise plan or saying anything about how she did it.
I think people should do what they want to do--she's young, she is an actress who probably could get a wider range of roles if she was thinner, I don't see anything wrong with her wanting to be thinner --but I also would not care if she didn't either.
The thing about gastric bypass is that it leaves gobs of skin just hanging, HANGING. That requires more surgeries to remove excess skin because it won't spring back. This is not at all pleasant for the person losing weight. Give whoever it is a break.
Melissa McCarthy
ReplyDelete^^^^^yup^^^^
ReplyDeletecould be Lena D or Mindy Kaling but I dunno what they "embrace"
ReplyDeletebut they're not secretive
ReplyDelete"..telling women to embrace themselves as they are.." makes me think Dunham but McCarthy's had the most noticeable svelte-ing.
ReplyDeleteLena was out with Reesie yesterday and she doesn't look any thinner than usual and she's covered up at least.
ReplyDeleteMcCarthy has had the gastric sleeve imo. I think this more Dunham
ReplyDeleteSo glad it's December.
ReplyDeleteSounds like her level of hypocrisy.

Hiya everyone! I think this might be Amy Shumer...she just posed nekkid in some magazine and is always talking about being happy with who you are.
ReplyDeletefunny thing is when she will put on weight again (because be sure she will since she took the easy path meaning her appetite and diet didn't changed for the best), everybody will notice she had lipo and where she had it on her body lol

It's Melissa McCarthy--she has a line of plus sized clothing that encourages women to "embrace themselves".

ReplyDeleteweight loss surgery is a bandaid, not a cure-all.
ReplyDeletepeople that gastric surgery regularly gain the weight back, sometimes all of it. if your eating habits dont change dont expect anything else to.
look at carnie wilson

McCarthy was just in the Daily Fail with her fat girl's clothing line and 50 lb weight loss. It's probably her.
