Blind Items Revealed #5 - Old Hollywood
October 9, 2015
This A lister died at a very young age. Had a great last name that most people use as a first name now. She died due to an infection from an abortion her frequent A list co-star (multiple Academy Award winner/nominee) and the studio made her get.
Jean Harlow/William Powell
That was indeed ONE of the rumors about her death.
ReplyDelete@ K got the Jean Harlow portion but NOBODY guessed William Powell.-nice one K!
ReplyDelete-very sad situation but at least this gets Clark Gable off the hook since he was the popular guess for the scoundrel.
I doubt it..They were a couple for a couple of years..nothing hidden, and gable said later how swollen her limbs became when they were working before her death-a very common sign of kidney failure, her probable cause of death
ReplyDeleteYeah. Medical bulletins, hospital records, and testimony of her relatives and friends proved it was kidney disease. But that is not sensational enough, right?
ReplyDeleteGah. Really? And "most people" don't name their children Harlow. Aside from Nicole Richie's kid, is there a plethora of Harlow in Hollywood babies?
ReplyDeleteI'll just leave this here...

How so very sad.
ReplyDeleteThis is bull. Powell and Harlow weren't having a sleazy affair, they were dating openly and very much in love. Had she been pregnant, they would have married immediately, something they had planned to do anyway, and the studio would have just called the baby a preemie. They were still very much together at the time of her death, and Powell was sick with grief.
ReplyDeleteWilliam Powell and Jean Harlow were to be married. They.were not messing around. This post is complete trash and irresponsible.
ReplyDeleteyeah..she died of kidney failure-very sad. i'm surprised Enty went this route with this.
ReplyDeleteShe died from nephritis.
ReplyDeleteWilliam Powell never won an Oscar.
