This actor is fast approaching A list. He is on a hit pay cable show and is starting to receive some hardware for his role on the show. What gets him in this spot though is a former role. Kids always recognize him for the role and when he visits hospitals he always goes dressed in the character from that movie. He always travels with one of the outfits just in case he has a chance to visit a children’s hospital in the city he is traveling to.

ReplyDeleteT.J. Miller's on "Silicon Valley" on HBO but, more importantly to the kids, he is 'Tuffnut' from "How To Train Your Dragon"
The majority of his resume are voiceovers for cartoon characters so not sure what character he is dressing up as. Anyone have a clue?

No way is this unknown person "approaching A list". I've never heard of him, seen him, nor even heard of the show he's currently on. To me "approaching A list" is someone more like Peter Dinklage, who is recognizable and has awards, but hasn't had his name above title yet.

ReplyDeleteI love hearing this! I have a lot of friends that do stand up that have opened for him and said he is an incredibly nice guy. I love seeing these kindness reveals. Also, I agree with approaching A-list. His show was nominated for an Emmy in its first season, he did a main character voice for Big Hero 6 which won an Oscar, and is huge in the stand up comedy circuit, and with stand up making a big comeback with people like Amy Schumer I think it's very safe to say he can be considered fast approaching A list.

Oh! Thanks for that @back again. I vaguely knew who this was, but was going to have to check his IMDB page to see what kid role he did.
