Blind Items Revealed #2 - Anniversary Month
June 11, 2009
What aging but not really old Academy Award winner/nominee A list actor recently had a heart attack and passed out but refused to go the hospital. Instead, he had his doctor come to the house and hired a nurse to watch over him for a few days. He even went to a sporting event three days after it happened.
Jack Nicholson
Talk about a death wish. He should have gone to the hospital. He could have kept it out of the news if he wanted to.
ReplyDeleteSix years ago Jack was 72--I called that aged, not aging. Some would say he's old. Aging=50-65.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me wonder just how many heart attacks Jack truly has had.
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
ReplyDeleteAlso, heart attacks are often treated with medication & rest. If his cardiologist came to the house & he had a nurse with him, I don't think this is all that weird. He probably has a defibrillator at home, as well.
If a person is hospitalized because of a heart attack, it would be unusual if they weren't up & walking the same day.
As long as he didn't *play* in the Lakers game three days later, I don't think that's a big deal either.
Many people don't understand that there are big & small heart attacks and they can often happen and the person never realizes it & goes about their business.
I don't blame him. Being in the hospital sucks.
ReplyDeletewell..he definately had one during filming of "Something's Gotta Give" in 2003.
ReplyDelete; )
I think he is considered old now as well....... dont think he has quit drinking and is always at lakers game.
ReplyDeleteI would think they would have to conduct hospital tests to determine whether he had a blockage that caused the attack, which would require surgery. At home treatment just sounds risky.
ReplyDeleteleonardo dicaprio's future?
ReplyDeleteAgree. What kind of human lifespan is Enty talking about?
ReplyDeleteAlso wondered if he didn't want to be drug tested.
ReplyDeleteUnless he has an extensively documented history and the visiting doc drew blood & did an echo/ekg on site.
ReplyDeleteIf they know this happens to him and are trying to manage it, they probably know whether he has a structural problem.
I was a private nurse for big money folks and ALL of them only go to the hospital if absolutely needed then asap back home to 24/7 care. No less than $20 ish an hour for caregivers. A lot of them pay big $ for concierge care which is at least several hundred thousand dollars per year for a Dr. at your disposal. Don't feel too jealous because they get misdiagnosed just like the rest of us! Worked for regular and rich and the only thing the rich people have better is pretty $ things , easy access to whatever they want, and great vacation/ travel options. Not jealous because they have more b.s. and are dissatisfied a lot: ) LOVE LIFE ENJOY WHAT YOU HAVE!
ReplyDeleteThanks for saying all that!
