At a recent Q&A, this A- list mostly movie actor came thisclose to coming out of the closet. The moderator really thought our actor was going to do it right on stage, but after inching open the closet, our actor rushed back inside.
I doubt if it's Redmayne (though I also doubt if he's straight) as he just got married and that would make his wife look stupid. Gyllenhaal really, really wants to be a leading man and there aren't any leading men who are out - if affects their bankability. Renner's the same. I guess Enty rates Cooper an A+ despite his recent flops, so he's out.
I think this may be referring to the journalist who was trying to out Tom Hardy (who also recently got married and has 2 kids) who mentioned early on that he had had experiences with men, and later denied it.
You are spot on. I am sure he deeply regrets the interview he gave a few years ago about going through a gay phase in his 20's. Even if the wife and kids are a sham, he is the sexiest, most talented actor of his generation.
Renner doesn't seem that bothered about being a leading man though, he seems to prefer being a supporting actor in a high prestige film, with great cast and crew, than a lead in a second rate film, In comparison, Cooper has been making some dross, but is nearly always top billing. When I see Renner interviewed I get the impression that he would be just as happy focusing on one of his other businesses. His attitude towards the media is probably more damaging to his career than coming out would ever be, but he just doesn't seem to care enough to try and moderate his behavior.
I don't know enough about Jake to comment on his personality, but he doesn't seem to be the sort of leading man where being gay would be an issue. He is too quirky.
I can believe Cooper would do anything to secure his position in Hollywood. .
I think it's pretty clear that Swift has done her share of bearding whether Gyllenhaal comes out or not. I don't think het sex is a big thing with her and so the bearding. It's why her attempts at being SEXXAY fall so flat and are utterly unconvincing. Don't think she's a virgin, but I'll bet she's not an enthusiast either.
Stephen Galloway's famous for throwing the guest's own words back at them. For people whose only interest in JG is "Gay! Come Out!", even his saying an actor finds "struggle for identity (in LGBT rights)" is "relatable", gets twisted and framed into "inching open the closet".
If Enty is actually privy to the relationship of the major trades (Variety, THR, The Wrap) with actors, why wasn't this leaked before the 11/18 interview, instead of after the 11/26 transcript? So Galloway's Q&A exposes all the gossip-mongers' "LIE", that Hollywood trades DO NOT protect "Closeted" actors at all - in fact they're also in on the forced outing "too"?
There are just too many, up to the minute social media sightings of JG, not on paparazzi camera, that's not a "gay" life at all. (Yes, reading them totally voids these gossip blogs, whose readership they need to keep with blinds like this.)
Unless Enty, the gays and fraus, believe that someone "IS" gay whenever a dick is touched or "had" (a criterion not applicable to women, who are allowed to experiment, have a "phase", and still be the owner of their identities.) Cos dicks taint ya, they marks ya. Human beings are so simple!
At this point, Enty, Tricia13, "Casual Observer" et al. are just heckling JG. HECKLING.
Had he made it clear, he knew about Galloway twisting the subtext of his words "struggle for identity (by LGBT)" into a personal question (despite JG keeping it pro for an actors who have a job to research and live many "identities"), Enty would just call JG refused to open the closet door. Or he's "suspicious", had he chosen to "assert" his own sexuality, when the convo was about The Movie. That'd be "extra", and "hiding something"!
No matter what JG answered, it's always one of these options: "closet door closed; inched open; opened wider; wide open; slammed shut; transparent/glass door..." Blah Blah.
Jeremy Renner
