Blind Item #6
This permanent A+ list mostly movie actor will stay that way no matter how many easy paychecks he keeps cashing for awful movies talks a great game about human rights. As long as those rights don't interfere with him making money. Two separate projects and several thousand people homeless because of them. Lots of bribes passing between our actor and governments.
DeNiro
ReplyDeleteRobert deniro and his resort on Barbuda maybe
ReplyDeleteAnd you think that certain governments will not try to keep it covered on the highest level?
ReplyDeleteDoes Michael Douglas's resort in Bermuda disposess anyone?
ReplyDeleteNever really heard anything about De Niro and human rights. He does a lot to promote the independent movie industry with Tribeca, etc.
ReplyDeleteNow George Clooney... The easy paychecks may refer to all the commercials he has always done in Europe and the Far East and now he's bringing his unfunny Nespresso commercials to the States.
"An advance payment of $1.85m from the De Niro partnership after the vote in March helped to clear a 20-week wage backlog for 600 Barbuda Council workers."
ReplyDeleteI'm NAILING IT with Robert DeNiro. This has been in the news recently.
ReplyDeleteNever heard De Niro talk a big game about Human rights.
ReplyDeleteAnything happening in Darfur, cause Clooney sounds kinda right to me.
This ????
ReplyDeleteNo it doesn't at all.
ReplyDeleteSean Penn, for sure.
ReplyDeleteSandy brook got it. I don't think the detail about talks a good game is critical.
ReplyDelete"...several thousand people homeless because of them." Barbuda has a population of only 1,638 per Google, so that doesn't fit.
ReplyDeleteYou're taking the blind too literally, this is CDaN. He can write "thousands" and mean dozens.
