Today's Blind Items - Back To The Future

All of these happened in the 1980's.

#1 - This former A+ list mostly television actor wasn't so pious when he was having sex with a co-star. It was only when she stopped sleeping with him that he had her fired.

#2 - This current B+ list mostly television actress who went from hit network show to hit almost television show only had a few lines in this first installment of a long running franchise. She does have a memorable moment from it. She was still miked and this actor who made his living in teen movies started having sex in his trailer. The crew was listening through headphones for about ten minutes before someone went and told the couple what was going on.

#3 - There were so many drugs on the set of this vampire movie that it is amazing it turned out as well as it did. Even more amazing considering that writers were changing things daily to take advantage of the actors that were sober enough to actually film.

#4 - In one of the biggest hits of the decade, the two leads couldn't stand each other. It shows you how good they are at acting because they played lovers. One is still A+ list while the other faded away. It is the only time I have heard about this A+ lister actually fighting with anyone on set. They yelled and screamed at each other. Refused to talk to each other. Our actor held a grudge and basically ruined her career.

I can see this better than Bruce and Cybill. Cybill didn't have a great career before Moonlighting, but she had an ok one and it was ok afterwards. Debra Winger practically dropped off the face of the earth. Was Richard Gere not yet a Buddhist back then????

  8. If this was them, then I guess Debra had the last laugh, though.
    She won an Oscar.
Richard got a gerbil stuck in his ass!

Cybill Shepherd had a succesfull sitcom that ran for 5 seasons so I wouldn't say she faded away. I have no idea who else it could be though.

You'd think Debra Winger for #4 but she hardly faded away and Gere is hardly A+. I'd put him at like A- at best. What's the last thing he did that we all saw? I can't even recall.

Are you saying Laura Prepon had sex with either Feldman or Haim? In the 80's? Someone needs to call the police right now.

#4--It is too bad, if it is true, about what Gere did to Winger. SHE can actually act. Gere is like a plank in everything he does.

#4 could be Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner in ROMANCING THE STONE.

  25. Basic Instinct was w/ Sharon Stone...
    Did you mean Fatal Attraction?

  26. I agree. Winger rocks. Gere is a douche-bag.

This works because she did basically disappear. Everyone else that's been mentioned went on to other things, with varying levels of success.

I don't know if number four is Winger. She ruined her own career by turning down pretty much everything she was offered and having bad taste in the few things she accepted. Winger and Redford hated each other with the heat of a thousand suns on Legal Eagles. He was A+ but it wasn't a big hit.

Someone who was A+ in the 80's and still A+ now is a small club. Ford's a good guess although he had trouble with more than one co-star (Heche and Pitt, among others) in the 90's.

If it is them,it is not a blind. Debra was known very difficult and Gere was very into him.It is in a book on Hollywood 80's movies

    # 4 Tom Cruise/Kelly McGillis in Top Gun is a great guess. Debra Winger, Sean Young and Darryl Hannah basically torpedoed their own careers. Sean by being crazy, Debra by being difficult and Darryl more voluntarily by being more into her activism than the acting, plus apparently she has social anxiety issues and is on the spectrum and was probably happy to leave the limelight. Kelly never had much of a career after Top Gun, the biggest thing she was in after that was the Accused and that was Jodie Foster's movie. Most people don't even remember who the lawyer was.

I can't see Cruise normally yelling at anybody since it interferes with the nice guy image he cultivates so that part fits the 'only time' part.
