I remember working at a College World Series back when Erin was on ESPN, and they were interviewing famous baseball players during innings for extra color. Some were no namers, some were more famous, but all were folks who had played in a CWS and were just there to watch the sport.
Erin had no clue who Cal Ripken, Jr. was. I get not knowing that he didn't go to college (even though he famously went straight from HS to the minor leagues), I get not knowing what his stats were, but she had zero clue who one of the most famous players of all time was. This was only a year or so after he stopped playing, too -- hadn't even gotten eligibility to the Hall of Fame yet.
She's a complete airhead, and has zero sense of sports or sports history.
Erin Andrews

ReplyDeleteSounds right! She seems insufferable.
ReplyDeleteI'm so delighted that Erin Andrews' witch face is becoming more prominent with every passing day. Not sorry.

Agreed @ Kno. Although I still cackle about the 50 Cent Car Race Surprise interview every now and again.
ReplyDeleteHey Red, Cal Ripken most definitely played in the minor leagues! He didn't go straight to the majors from high school.
ReplyDeleteIdk what comment you're looking at, but he said minors.
