This former B+ list tweener turned failed singer/so so movie actress was at lunch with some friends this past week and yelled at them when none of them offered to pick up the check or even pay for their part. Probably some life lessons she learned from that A+ lister she hung out with a day earlier.
Selena Gomez
I take issue with "so so actress". She's not that good.
ReplyDeleteAt least she didnt get high as a kite, lick donuts and say she hates 'Mericuh
ReplyDeletethat's how it goes when you are the wealthiest one in the group they all expect you to pick up the tab, assholes
ReplyDeleteValid point.
ReplyDeleteSelena, let's go to lunch next time you're back in Texas. I'll pick up the tab and, yes, you can order fried pickles.
ReplyDeleteI don't see how Selena is a failed singer. She's doing pretty well for herself.
ReplyDeleteIf the rules of the 'friendship' change then she needs to just let them know not berate them.
ReplyDeleteI hate to defend Selena (and I say this as the person who had to do the majority of driving her friends around in high school), but it can get annoying being the person doing favors for everyone else, even if your friends aren't intentionally taking advantage of you.
ReplyDeleteI know it's wrong, but I have an uncle who's worth over $100 million and he typically picks up the tab, but the half-heartedness with which I do the "reach for the wallet" move is pretty remarkable.
ReplyDeleteLOL Yeah but - $100 mil! Damn right he can buy the burger and fries.
ReplyDeleteAgree. So-so is too much credit.
ReplyDeleteCheque mkay not check (poor auld yankie doodles canni write right proper, innit) Plus in this instance I believe you don't even mean cheque but 'tab', 'bill', 'invoice'.
ReplyDeleteSelena,
ReplyDeleteThe reason Taylor made you go Dutch the day before is because you can afford it, unlike your entourage members who you were yelling at here. Also she could be getting annoyed at you, again. Were you whining about Bieber? Or even Cara choosing Annie over you?
Love,
Jess
No. In America, it's check. The writer is in America. So it's check. I really hate when others like yourself jump on differences in language or culture with a "it's supposed to be this way" type of deal. Nope, America has been independent for quite awhile, we stand on our own now. It's check.
