The boyfriend of this openly gay former A+list singer in a group who is probably close to permanent A list like the band says that the singer gave him a permanent STD.
Wham! was a band, even if they used synths. George Michael had a prominent enough solo career that he would be at least former A list, and Wham! was popular enough on its own that it would have been A list at some point. But "permanent A list"? Hm. I dunno. Could be George, but I'm not sure.
But other possibilities are thin on the ground. An A+ lister in his own right from a permanent A-list band... Freddie Mercury is really just about the only one that comes to mind, unless Michael Stipe counts as an A+ lister (REM is definitely permanent A-list as a band).
Stipe was the first person that came to my mind too but I'd be surprised. His long-term boyfriend appears to be fully aware of where his bread is buttered.
not even sure how this is even a Blind though seeing that this is a pretty common predicament for anyone not using a condom from ...say Highschool Age On...
I think you are right. I used to live in Athens, GA and it is a pretty open secret around Athens that Michael Stipe is HIV+. Basically, every cute gay guy in Athens over the last 25+ years has slept with Stipe. We used to see him, and the other members of REM out at different local watering holes around Athens. Stipe is a grade-A jerk, but the other three are the nicest, most down-to-earth guys you'll ever meet. So, yeah, I think this is about him.
Boy George
ReplyDeleteLance Bass
ReplyDeleteGeorge Michael(but Wham is not a band ) or any of the 80s pop/synch groups?I think of live instruments with "band"
ReplyDeleteMorrisey?
ReplyDeleteGeorge Michale?
Adam Lambert---was briefly in Queen, and sang "We are the Champions???? no clue
I feel like this could be Ricky Martin
ReplyDeleteopenly gay former A+ singer = Boy George
ReplyDeletegroup who is probably close to permanent A list = Culture Club
Boy George recently had guest Caitlyn Jenner at a concert. I hadn't though of him in forever. Only reason I choose him over George Michael.
