Blind Item #1
The girlfriend of this closeted a+ list mostly movie actress moved out of the home of our actress. This is very bad timing because of the damage she could cause right now if she runs to a tabloid.

ReplyDeleteThe damage being the huge hit Minions being a kids flick ya think?
ReplyDeleteSandyB's image will be damaged. Obviously she has protected herself for years.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame that being gay would damage her reputation considering there's nothing wrong with being gay. I love Sandy....she's a very good actress and does good for others.
ReplyDeleteIt's not that anyone cares whether someone is gay or not, it's that once it's known that someone is gay, they lose some attractiveness to straight women or straight men. I mean, of course the millions of girls that worship One Direction don't have a chance in Hell of being with them, but part of the fantasy is that Zayn might be interested in them. If it were known that he is not interested in girls at all, it would destroy the fantasy and part of the attractiveness.
ReplyDeleteAgain, it's not because people don't like gays that celebs stay in the closet, it's because destroying their fans' fantasies will destroy their careers.
JLaw or possibly JLie
ReplyDeleteIt seems so weird her 2 on-again, off-again relationships with Hoult and Martin.
Also, moviegoers (whether they mean to or not) have a harder time suspending their disbelief when a gay actor (male or female) is cast in a straight role -- especially if it's a romantic lead. Sad, but true.
ReplyDeleteHmm, "Marriage Equality" granted by the SCOTUS and certain celebrities still feel the need to hide their sexuality. What happened to being "Out and Proud"? Hypocrisy much?
ReplyDeleteIf it's Sandra, she can survive both a tabloid attack and her A+ status, jmho but she has a lot of good will built up and she's a mother, an ex-wife and all around good sport.
ReplyDeleteI still don't get a so-called loved one outing someone for revenge. If the woman was pressuring her to come out and is now in a tizzy, bye y'all because Sandy can find someone else.
While it's easy to say "Be out and proud," the reality is much more complicated. In your personal life you can tell people, and they can accept it or not; if they don't, the most you've lost is a friend. If you tell your employer (and, in many ways, the public is the employer of celebrities-if they don't buy their product, eventually offers dry up) and they don't accept it, you lose your career. So I would never judge somebody who tries to protect their livelihood by not coming out to the world. And many won't accept a mainstream celeb being gay. People typing things like "marriage equality" (the quotation marks give it an implied level of snark) shows that not everybody is going to be cool about it.
ReplyDeleteBullock. And my $.02 on outing anyone, is that people who do that should be thrown in an alligator pond.
