Blind Items Revealed #1

This A+ list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner is in full scramble mode. The tabloids are about to jump all over her family member for being a racist and she wants to make sure there are no photos or evidence that can tie her into his beliefs. It seems as if their were none, then there would be no need to do any scrambling.
Jennifer Lawrence
So where are all the tabloid stories? Haven't seen them.
ReplyDeletetheir = there :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry. But it seems to me that every family has at least one racist (distant) relative.
ReplyDelete@David - TRUTH! Haha.
ReplyDeleteAnd, you know what? Sometimes when you have a loved one who has unpleasant and nasty sides, but they're part of the family, you grin and bear it when they do something shitty. Sometimes you're in their presence, and they're ranting on their webcams about how the Flemish are taking over Europe and getting phlegm all over everything, or insert your racist rant of choice here. You want to denounce them and despise them and scream at them, but Auntie Chloriana loves them, so you shut up and nod and smile. And there you are.
ReplyDeleteLife is not as neat and simple as it seems it might be.
Become a loner.. it's the only way to stay clean and pure.
ReplyDeleteI believe it's because, regardless of what we say (and I'm using the term "we" very broadly) we hold celebrities to a higher standard. We conveniently forget that they're human and pretty normal considering most of us have done something similarly insensitive and boneheaded at one time. Only there weren't a billion cameras catching us doing it.
ReplyDeleteMeh. You don't actually have to nod and smile at the family racist. You don't have to fight with him either because racists are usually cowards. You and a few family members take him aside and have a quiet word. He can shut the fuck up or get beaten to a pulp. Nine times out of ten he's going to shut the fuck up but beating him to a pulp that tenth time can be very satisfying.
ReplyDeleteWell said. Unless, they're irredeemably evil (like the SC killer/terrorist), you shouldn't just throw close family under the bus. Esp. older family.
ReplyDeleteTo catch everyone up, this is likely meant to be her brother. Supposedly, he was at a party wearing something mocking tourists. Someone claimed it might have mocked Asians.
ReplyDeleteAll this from a purported FB pic.
So true Jonathan. Sad, but true.
