At a music festival this weekend there was a question whether this back on the booze permanent A lister was going to be able to perform. An hour before the show most people would have said no, but come showtime there was something in him that turned on and he managed to deliver.

ReplyDeleteBilly Joel/Bonnarroo
ReplyDeleteI am sticking with Robert Plant. He has cancelled many tour dates this past month.
ReplyDeleteJon Hamm sang at Bonaroo.
ReplyDeleteAnd Dave Grohl finishes a show with a broken leg . These rock stars were always drunk or high when they were in their prime, Plant swigged out of a bottle on stage every night. This shouldnt be a problem for them to do.plastered.
ReplyDelete@Sandy, and that's what separates the men from the boys....
ReplyDeletePlant's tour was postponed due to illness last week,
ReplyDeleteRobert has actually been sick, a friend of mine is working on that tour, and he's not a big boozer by any means. Tyler on the other hand...
ReplyDeleteBack in the Zeppelin days, it was Mr. Page drinking from the old JD bottle, not Robert - I saw Zep many times and never saw Plant drunk onstage. Smoking joints, yes but not so much the booze until after the show.
ReplyDeleteRobert Plant NOT A BOOZER? Yeah, ok.
ReplyDeleteNone of them have aged very well, probs due to the booze and drugs. Yeah I know, brilliant observation.
ReplyDeleteRobert Plant is my favorite ever..I don't think he's much of a drinker though.
