Blind Item #2
I don't think she could have got away with this two decades ago when she was at her peak, but there was this former A list singer this weekend who has not done much since then but some reality television and had a few legal issues. At an event she insisted that people only refer to her as Ms.__________. No first names. She even made the organizers of the charity event do the same thing
Brandy ,"Ms. Norwood"
ReplyDeleteI dont see how this is a big deal

ReplyDeleteIDK, I think women past a certain age SHOULD be addressed as "Ms. --" rather than the first name. Men, too. I cringed when Darren Criss called Anna Wintour "Anna" during last night's Tony awards red carpet broadcast. Uh, that's Ms. Wintour to you, loser.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of a big deal if it is someone who markets themselves as a one name person... Like why market yourself like your comfortable being called by your first name only if you aren't ????
ReplyDeleteNot the answer, but for some reason when I read this I thought about the song lyric: "No my first name ain't baby -- It's Janet -- Ms. Jackson if you're nasty."
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of Janet Jackson, too! I bet she wanted everyone to call her by her husband's last name,
ReplyDeleteMiss Ross.
ReplyDeleteShe lost the right to be called Ms. Wintour since her kimye cover.
ReplyDeleteHey you, watch out! Duck!.. seems to always get their attention..
