Four For Friday-Traditional- All Kindness

You will be happy to know I already purchased my Mother's Day gift. I was walking past a CVS earlier in the week and snatched up a buy one get one free chocolate special. Much better quality than the dollar store. I kid, I kid. I will be here all weekend should you get bored or have to wait in line because your siblings are all calling mom and she doesn't have call waiting so you spend hours hitting the re-dial button. #1- This former A list singer in a group who has really done nothing since the group split but live off her millions has a new gig. She can probably thank her ex band mate for the job because she kind of set the precedent. A rough guess that two days ago there were about 1500 people who all wanted photos and autographs with our singer and some of her peers at an event. Her peers bailed after the show but our former A lister took 1500 photos and probably signed her name double that amount of times. It took about three hours. She never complained once.

#2 - This actress is probably C+. She is in that franchise television movie that makes Tori Spelling look like an Oscar winner. Anyway, the actress also produced a recent movie and is also in college full-time. Yeah, makes me feel like I don't do much either. Anyway, she was in LA this week and talked a network executive into a $75K grant to help fund some high schools back in NYC with cameras and editing equipment. It is a pet project of hers.

#3 - This Golden Globe winning actor is on a hit network comedy. He is actually the star. He is also a big fan of helping feed the poor. In order to get more volunteers he started organizing a party two years ago for the place he volunteers At the time there were ten and the place needed about 50. He tried to make it as fun as possible and spared no expense. It is not only for the volunteers, but also for the homeless and people who eat where he volunteers. Well, the parties have been such a hit there is a waiting list now to volunteer just because people want to go to the party. So, now he has expanded the program and footing the bill to other places that feed the poor and homeless.

#4 - This foreign born former A list comic actor is probably a B now. He has been around forever and has been on so many shows and so many movies and is beloved by millions. He also has a very generous heart. If you have a charity event he will be there and work his butt off to raise money. All for free. At an event particularly close to his heart last week the goal had been to raise $1M. The event managed to raise about $800K. Our actor stepped up and wrote a check for the difference.
