Mr. X Blind Item #4 - Old Hollywood
This A+ list leading man had a little secret when he was appearing in a period picture where he was usually cast as a man in tights (including the movie he's best remembered for nowadays)... he usually wore a jockstrap which made his already large private parts seem enormous. During the making of one of his later swashbucklers, the costume fitters had to re-sew his tights again and again because the jockstrap kept ripping them.
Errol Flynn?

I want to say Ronald Colman, Prisoner of Zenda
ReplyDeleteBut since it's Mr X, depth of knowledge cannot be assumed.

ReplyDeleteSome guys show; but most guys grow!
ReplyDeleteA nurse I dated years ago said this to me.
@Kno, Just say you typed in: "Rainfly Coleman Person" Tents.... hehheh
ReplyDeleteHa! "person" sort of works, though...I'll remember that. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteActually I think this is Tyrone Power-Zorro movies etc.
ReplyDeleteA quick google reveals that Zorro wore pantaloons, not tights. The shirt was optional, though.
ReplyDelete(I guess he had to be able to change back into Don Diego de la Vega at a moment's notice, and Don Diego really wouldn't have a good reason to be wearing tights. Whereas Robin Hood just skipped back to Sherwood Forest after taunting the sheriff, and so didn't have to dress formally.)
; )
ReplyDeleteHey @ Jess Sayin' -Hahaha,You're Awesome & Thank You for googling the subject & getting the '"low-down on the legwork" :-- pantaloons vs, tights- ; )
