Over the past six years I have told you some awful stories of people. There have been plenty of good people too. This story though is about someone who probably suffered the most as a child star and still managed to come out on top, although very emotionally scarred. This actress used to be a nice solid B list actress. She does not act very much anymore. Some movies and some cameos, but for the most part she does not do much. She has some other activities which keep her busy and which she has also made a name for herself. Back in the day she was a child actress. Cute and funny and growing up in a time of actors on set where rules were not really followed and behavior could be abhorrent. Despite being just an early teen, our actress was forced to have sex or coerced to have sex with men twice or sometimes three times her age. This was not a one time thing, but a daily thing she had to endure if she wanted to be an actress. Her parents told her to toughen up and that there was nothing wrong with it. Well, she did not have the best parents in the world. From the very first day she walked onto a film set, she was groped and teased. There was one older actor she thought she was safe from, but after their third day filming he had her in his dressing room, undressing for him while he pleasured himself. She had to do this at least once a week. There was her co-star who was almost the same age who told her he would get her fired unless they had sex. He also made her try some drugs. This was all like at 12 and 13. Crazy. On one show she was on she was repeatedly molested by a man who later was accused of raping one of his neighbor's children. Apparently since he thought he could get away with it on sets, he also thought the same rules applied in the real world. All you have to do is mention this guy's name or character name to the actress and she will start crying. All of this has affected every day of her life since. It all makes sense what she does now when you think of what happened to her back then.
Kim Richards
Damn Enty.
ReplyDeleteThings are bad enough in her life right now.
Poor form dude.....smh
She was in James at 16 in 1978. The male lead was James Broderick. I wonder if that is who she had to disrobe for.
ReplyDeleteCorrection: James Broderick was not on James at 16. He was on Family.
ReplyDeleteEnty's first rule....always reveal the victim but never the predators
ReplyDeleteI believe it was the murder of her boyfriend who was all changed
ReplyDeleteI loved "James at 15/16!"
ReplyDeleteshe would have been 15-16 at the time of Hello Larry. The visual of McLean Stevenson as the described "older actor" is especially gross.
ReplyDeleteShe also danced on American Bandstand for a few years.
ReplyDeleteShe WAS on "Family" back in the day. But then again, there wasn't a show she WASN'T on...
ReplyDeleteCould be a whole lotta folks
That was in the '90's. It's sounding to be something earlier that changed her e'en before that incident.
ReplyDeleteYou're right,Enty...No wonder she is the way she is! This changes my whole thought processes on her. I hope one day that she will see, that she is worth so much more than what she feels she is, because of what she went through.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever read this Kim..It wasn't your fault that adults in your life didn't protect you, when they should have! I'm so sorry you had to go through it. xoxo
oh wow :( I unhate her now,
ReplyDeleteYou'd have to be crazy to let your kids act in hollywood. If they are under 18 dont put them on a set. There is a reason these child actors end up dead or almost dead and ruined.
ReplyDeletechild actors are a pedophile's dream. they'll do anything to get ahead and are too young to realize its a crime and the person should be behind bars. one thing I like about the internet is that it doesnt know what money or power is. once you let somebodys dirty secret out good luck getting the internet deleting it. its there FOREVER
ReplyDeleteI wish somebody would video or audio record harvey weinstein upload it and then watch the fires burn. try deleting that from the internet with your money
ReplyDeleteBig Kathy was the PMK of her day....Another pathetic stage mom/pimp/gold digger.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Escape To Witch Mountain? She was about the right age at that time and had a similarly aged male costar. Would that make Eddie Albert the pervert she thought was safe?
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty sad that you hated her in the first place. Do you think that people with horrendous addictions enjoy living that way? They obviously need help, treatment and compassion because obviously something is terribly wrong... what they don't need is hate and judgement, but that seems to be what human beings like to do. They just condemn a person, judge them as bad, and couldn't care less to ask about what they might be going through.
ReplyDeleteInteresting timing.
ReplyDeleteNot surprising although "came out on top" is crazy misleading.
ReplyDeleteWow! I always wondered why she was so stand off-ish while working on the movie 'Tuff Turf.'
ReplyDeleteShe endured such unbelievable sexual abuse.
Who hadn't figured this out yet? Poor thing. Wonder if Kyle had it as bad...
ReplyDeleteYeah--I too am getting really sick of always only hearing the victims in these tales but never the sicko pervert CRIMINAL abusers.
I have followed this site for a very long time, since before Timmy/Shimmy, back in 07. I am done. I can't believe you revealed the name of a SEXUAL ASSAULT VICTIM. How DARE you? I was under the mistaken impression this site was about outing the bad guys while protecting the victim. Shame on me. I won't be back.
ReplyDeleteShe should write a tell all and lay it on the line on what happens to children actors.. by relatives and co-workers and those in power.. Best seller, big money in the bank...will shut them up and make them hide away for fear for a while. if more would reveal their abuse.
ReplyDeleteFact is, Prudence, no matter what happened to us when we were kids, as adults we're now all responsible for our actions. And this isn't the 50s anymore. Everybody knows about getting some therapy, letting go and getting on with a more productive life.
ReplyDeleteYou lie. Enty has always named the victims and not the perpetrators. You're new here, and nobody will miss you.
ReplyDeletePedophilia is very rare. How can there be so many of these men in entertainment? So disturbing.
ReplyDeleteyou must be living under a rock HEGG as paedophilia is massive around the world and especially in entertainment. wake up.
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious she's still got her demons. I don't know about kyle, maybe she was lucky in getting a rich dude the first time her momma the pimp put her out.
ReplyDeleteShe maybe an older woman, but her inside is a pained young girl who is torn between hating/loving her momma and resentful of her sisters.
This stuff needs to be outted. Cause once it's outted, it can't fester in the dark.
I'll be back. ..I love this site.
how about David Niven---1976---No deposit, No Return?
ReplyDeleteBrad Savage as the actor close to her age. Mother was a big talent agent and he was a big child star.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I remember her on Diff'rent Strokes and Little House! She was so charming and adorable, I loved her characters. I had no idea it was her. This is very, very, very sad :( I'm glad it was shared though, I have more compassion for her now (I thought she was just a crazy b*tch, and now I feel like how could she be any other way after years of abuse and being basically sold out by her own parents?)
ReplyDeleteDo you live under a rock?
ReplyDeleteNow I am really starting to think Kyle Richards is the author of the Little of the Little House on the Prairie blind
ReplyDeleteBoth Kim and Kyle were pimped by their mom. Kim became the star more so than Kyle in acting but Kyle was the model and she used her for every print ad she could get her in and every runway she could put her on. Neither one of the girls had a chance. I think the only reason Kyle has managed not to be in the shape Kim is in was she got some type of therapy and also has a very loving family.
ReplyDeleteRegardless if this is true or not---lets just let it go---clearly Kim is not a bad person.
ReplyDeleteApologies for my belated three cents -
ReplyDeleteThis really does explain why she is so tortured and, it certainly gives insight into her relationship with her sisters. It's not just about the sexual abuse but her parents, especially her mother, selling her into this life.
As horrible as this might sound, I'm glad she was revealed as the victim of this abomination - whilst it doesn't justify her adult behavior, it certainly softens my view on both Kyle and Kim. I hope that, were this item true, this outing gets them closer to the peace they so need.
Hey enty, why not name the pedophiles too? If you are going to out Kim, then out the child molesters, too.
ReplyDeleteIt is not rare,unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteIt happens in every city, town and community..from the biggest to the smallest..all over the world. By people you would never think would do such a thing and to people you'd never guess it has happened to.
Did you endure that kind of abuse? You go through that kind of hell and tell me if you come out well adjusted. Look at Corey Haim, Corey Feldman and so many other child stars who are horrendously abused, fed drugs, fed to the wolves by their own family, etc. But if living in your ignorant bubble and judging other people when you have no idea what they've endured makes you feel better about yourself, then you just go right ahead and carry on then.
