Blind Item #5
Friends of this former A list mostly movie actress who still makes a couple of movies each year despite working for four decades. She is a permanent B lister and an Academy Award winner/nominee who has been in some of the biggest movies in history. Apparently she is suffering from early stages of Alzheimer's.
Beverly D Angelo
ReplyDeleteKim Basinger
ReplyDeletenah, no Oscar nod:Talia Shire
ReplyDeleteThe Godfather/Rocky franchises being the "biggest movies of all time"
ReplyDeleteJulie Christie?
ReplyDeleteDiane Keaton?
ReplyDeletegreat guess@ Slim! But inexplicably, she has not won an AA.
ReplyDeletemy bad..she did win: Annie Hall i think?
ReplyDeleteConsidering both Debra Winger (but unlikely to be her) and Sissy Spacek
ReplyDeletebut i do think shes more perm A/same with Julie Christie(who hasnt actually worked much at all in recent years)
ReplyDeletethx @Tricia :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Annie Hall
Sissy Spacek is a good guess!
ReplyDeleteThx slim
ReplyDeleteyeah, I think you're right
ReplyDeleteLike the Diane Keaton guess. I was thinking Jane Fonda maybe.
ReplyDeletespacek is a good on_but biggest movies of all time(Carrie/Coal MIners Daughter)?? doesnt add up to the descrition , imo.Also..she is deuting a new TV series this year , which is different than "still works from time to time..."dunno..just my thought
ReplyDelete*debuting
ReplyDeleteOr Susan Sarandon.
ReplyDeleteCarrie Fisher?
ReplyDeleteShe was nominated though, wasn't she?
ReplyDeleteThis is too vague. The spectrum is too wide.
ReplyDeleteSally Fields?
ReplyDeleteField*
ReplyDeletesally is on Modern Family.
ReplyDeleteDiane Keaton with some of her outbursts in recent times could be right but there are so many this could be. Really too vague but fits the website so a reveal could be placed here someday.
Sigoirney Weaver
ReplyDeleteSigourney Weaver
ReplyDeleteMy guess, too. I don't know if RHPS/Bull Durham really qualify as "biggest pictures of all time" though, even if they are unforgettable in their own way. (Ditto "The Hunger", for that matter.)
ReplyDeleteTalia Shire would be a good guess, but I'd like to think Enty would remember that she's Coppola's brother/Nic Cage's aunt and mention something about her having family in the business. (Of course, SS has an acting brother, for that matter.)
Er, Coppola is Talia Shire's brother, not vice versa. I even knew that. (Can I blame National Siblings Day, or something?)
ReplyDeleteKathy Bates? (although I can only think of one "big" movie - Titanic.)
ReplyDeleteI don't think Sally Field is on Modern Family..maybe another show?
ReplyDeleteMovies being.. Sybil,Mrs.Doubtfire,Forrest Gump,Steel Magnolias,the Smokey and the Bandit movies,Spider Man..etc..
ReplyDeleteOscar winner OR nominee-- This is an excellent guess & I think you definately got it @Tricia !! nice roll you're on dear! ; )
ReplyDeleteI went to IMDb to check-- you're right not Modern Family was on Brothers and Sisters but she works a lot so this isn't her.
ReplyDeleteThanks BA ! She was nominated for 2x :once for Rocky, once for The Godfather
ReplyDeleteDame Judi Dench has admitted to suffering from short-term memory loss. Says she can not longer learn her lines.
ReplyDeleteFirst timer.....
ReplyDeleteMy guess Diane Keaton....
Jane Fonda. Skinny people more likely to suffer dementia.
ReplyDeleteWow @ Ratoncita !!! Is that supposed to be true??? Whew!!! that's a relief-I'm safe then.
ReplyDeleteShe has macular degeneration which is sending her blind, that why she can't learn her lines anymore. She seemed pretty articulate and witty during recent interviews so I don't think it's her.
ReplyDeleteI don't really think hat's true, it can effect anyone, dementia sufferers forget to eat so they do get thin, but it's more a result of dementia then a pre condition.
ReplyDeleteSally Field :(
ReplyDeleteOff topic considering that actresses are all thin but apparently obese peeps suffer less dementia.
