Today's Blind Items - Mentally Ill
This actress used to be A list. By some definitions she was probably A+ list. Off the top of my head I can think of four or five movies that she was the female lead or biggest lead. Top billed. A nice little run. No one liked working with her more than once. There were not a lot of crews or cast that signed up for a second shot with our actress. Even now that technically has two franchises she is in at the same time, her appearances with co-stars are very limited. She does promotional work on her own away from other cast. She usually alternates premieres and rarely travels to any premiere other than NYC. No overseas stuff for her. Mental illness runs in her family and in her case it leads to a lot of paranoia. A lot of paranoia. An A list celebrity at the time boyfriend used to have to answer for his actions and whereabouts 24/7. Not just jealousy which is what you would think but paranoia that he was doing things and actions other than just cheating for which he had to account. Same thing with a celebrity husband. The thing about both of these men were they were gone for long periods of time or else there is no way this would work out well. She thinks people follow her all the time. She thinks everyone is out to harm her. She has employed a food tester during periods of her life for fear of poisoning. She protects her house not only with alarms and armed security patrols but also chants and salt patterns. She can be incredibly nice one second and the next second is screaming at you with spit flying out of her mouth. She can spend one minute throwing things at your head trying to kill you and the next trying to have sex with you. These are not isolated incidents. It is why she backed down from an expected challenge about 18 months ago. It was not even her enemies who threatened her with revealing these things to the public, but her one or two only friends because they thought it would do even more harm than good.
Catherine Zeta Jones
ReplyDeleteHalle Berry?
ReplyDelete^could work for sure
ReplyDeleteA NYC based A list actress who has two franchises currently? This cannot be that difficult time to research.
ReplyDelete+1
ReplyDeleteCZJ is NYC based and 2 franchises (technically) are RED2 and the Oceans movies..but dunno:((
ReplyDeleteHmmm no mention of children or currently being married, damn there goes half my guesses
ReplyDeleteUma Thurman?
ReplyDelete...salt patterns?
ReplyDeleteRenee Zellweger - one franchise would be Bridget Jones.
ReplyDeletegwen p
ReplyDeleteFaye Dunaway
ReplyDeleteKriisten Wiig? I know Bridesmaid is a franchise now and she is the voice of several cartoon characters that are in animated franchises, not sure if that counts
ReplyDeleteShe travels too much and is based out of LA.
ReplyDeleteIsn't every actor somewhat mentally ill? This blind item is IMPOSSIBLE.
ReplyDeleteNo husband.
ReplyDeleteI take that back she was married Hayes Hargrove. No clue who that is.
ReplyDeleteExcept she's LA based I believe
ReplyDeleteAshley Judd? Divergent and Dolphin Tale franchises; wasn't she thinking of entering politics about 18 months ago?
ReplyDeleteHusband was actor Hayes Hargrove and her celebrity bf was Fabrizio Moretti the drummer who plays in the American indie rock band The Strokes.
ReplyDeleteI think you got it, yeah she was married to the race car driver and Enty has mentioned that she will go off on you at a drop of a hat.
ReplyDeleteAshley Judd, no question.
ReplyDeleteThat makes sense. And we know that Wynonna and that nutty mother of theirs are crazy as hell.
ReplyDeleteGreat job Tara17!
ReplyDeleteRenee Zellwegger
ReplyDeleteCelebrity husband - Kenny Chesney
Celebrity BF - Bradley Cooper
Angelina Jolie. starred in salt.....
ReplyDeletefrist thought was Sharon Stone but I was too lazy to look up what she has on the go
ReplyDeleteCZJ travels all over the world, and is pictured at premiers with other cast members.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was just about to guess, too!
ReplyDeleteI think there was once a BI about her putting gps trackers on other people's cars?
ReplyDeleteI like the Ashley Judd guess. Her racecar driver husband. The salt thing (and I only know this because I watch supernatural) is some type of like protection thing.
ReplyDeleteAshley Judd goes overseas pretty often, doesn't she?
ReplyDeleteObv Ashley Judd. The "challenge" was running for office in 2013.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like Ashley Judd. Her sister Wynonna has serious issues too.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Zorro franchise!
ReplyDeleteAshley Judd be timely with her love of Kentucky hoops.
ReplyDeleteShe's the first person who popped into my head too! Especially with her threatening to sue those dumbass Twitter trolls for sexual assault.
ReplyDeleteOkay, thanks, kpist!
ReplyDeleteAshley Judd is not NY based though---does she not live in Kentucky?
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome!
ReplyDeleteProbably lining salt in a pattern around her doorways or bed..to keep evil and bad juju away. (I have a friend that's pagan, but other religions and cultures use this technique as well)
ReplyDeleteThat's so...odd! Thanks, Planet J! It seemed so random
ReplyDeleteI read this "She usually alternates premieres and rarely travels to any premiere other than NYC. No overseas stuff for her." as "she rarely travels other than to NYC." Not necessarily that she is based in NYC, but that it's the only place she will travel to.
ReplyDeleteI've spent many years observing Ashley Judd during the month of May here in Indy .She is very strange acting and very rude. Dario Franchitti is the nicest guy around and would always smile to fans, but she would never even make eye contact or smile or anything. She acted like she was the star instead of the race drivers.
ReplyDeleteRenee Zelwiger popped into my head. Not even really sure why.
ReplyDeleteLol..you're welcome! I guess whoever this is,is into some new age..or some other type of spiritual practices, that use salt to ward off evil. I think even some Catholics do this, too. NOT ALL of them..but I've known a few to have blessed salt sitting around. I have some that my ex MIL gave me years ago..she was always sending me stuff like that.
ReplyDeletetrue
ReplyDeleteWell I knew that was how you kept slugs out of a garden, but that was it
ReplyDeleteSo I am down with the Ashley Judd guess. Although I feel like I already new this and it has been written about 100 times before. It is still a great guess Tara.
ReplyDeletethat's what i thought.... specially for all the twitter stuff
ReplyDeleteSomebody never watched "Supernatural", huh? Sam and Dean have gone through more salt than the Morton's girl.
ReplyDeleteNope, you got me, I have not. I had no idea this was a thing. Or that Supernatural existed, tbh.
ReplyDelete"in an interview published in a Kentucky newspaper in October 2013, [Judd's] mother hinted that her decision [not to run for Senator] was based in a distrust of Washington insiders, whom she called "sociopaths". Questions have arisen as to whether this paranoia has a pharmaceutical basis. Her mother went on to say that, during her trips to D.C. to explore a potential Senate bid, Judd cried every night and traveled with a personal psychologist."
ReplyDeleteIt's time for a psychiatrist not a psychologist. Psychiatrists can prescribe meds....which r needed by this whole family apparently.
ReplyDeleteMany politicians are sociopaths.
ReplyDeleteNot Ashley Judd. I say this for 2 reasons.
ReplyDeleteWatch her documentary on women's rights, specifically India
CZJ. I remember when they were promoting that awful film "America's Sweethearts," and all of the others promoted it together, except for her. Julia Roberts made a comment that made it clear that Jones was not popular with the rest of them.
ReplyDeleteI feel silly asking but where is the rest of my comment? Kinda strange hanging there mid-thought lol.
ReplyDeleteScar-Jo?
ReplyDeleteKatherine Heigl??
ReplyDeleteHalle Berry
ReplyDeleteGeez, there are good medications for this in this day in age. Why is she suffering like this? That's the problem with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. You almost need to be forced to go to the hospital and then after being stabilized with anti-psychotics for at least 24 days, THEN you understand that you are ill and none of these things were ever real and people are not out to get you like those voices are saying . This is very sad to me.
ReplyDeleteThis cannot be Halle Berry who is textbook borderline personality disorder (with possible concurrent addiction). These are all symptoms of paranoide schizophrenia or schizoaffective that has never been treated for long enough.
i think Judd. I don't know the other but Divergent is one franchise. CZJ isn't in one. Celebrity boyfriend--Matthew McC. Celebrity husband--Dario Franchetti (race car driver). Challenge--running for senate nomination. CZJ is on meds. Ashley travels with a therapy dog.
ReplyDeleteYes, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.
ReplyDeleteCertainly sounds like Ashley Judd. She does travel a lot because she gives speeches for $50K each as part of her "humanitarian" work so she'll go anywhere they'll pay her. But she hasn't been out of the country in years except for a recent trip to Necker Island in the BVI. When she runs in road races she always signs up under an assumed name which seems a bit paranoid. I mean, the results aren't even published until after the race, so how does she think using her real name is going to compromise her safety/privacy? Plus she always tweets photos of herself after the races.
ReplyDeleteAfter the silly "I'm getting death threats on Twitter" thing - which by the way she had been trying to get traction for that claim for YEARS but nobody cared until she finally figured out how to make it a public issue this year ... she went to a March Madness game in Indianapolis and had security there. She also had security at the DNC in 2012. I mean, you're a delegate and you need protection inside a convention center full of fellow delegates? But she also travels alone a lot, never heard any mention of armed security when she flies. I think she only uses protection when somebody else pays for it.
There was a blind reveal on CDAN about Matthew McConaughey calling an actress the worst girlfriend he ever had, it was revealed to be Ashley Judd. When he won the Oscar she tweeted about how she had "shacked up" with him - 16 years earlier. Pretty tacky and self-aggrandizing considering he's married with kids now. I think that's the closest she'll ever get to an Oscar so she wanted some reflected glory?
The one thing that gives me pause is the formerly A+ rating and the mention of her toplining four or five films. Unless you count indie films I don't think that's true. There's Kiss the Girls and Double Jeopardy and that's about it. Oh, and High Crimes. But in two of those films Morgan Freeman was arguably a bigger star, and in Double Jeopardy she got top billing but the real draw was Tommy Lee Jones. You'd need one or two other films where she was the top star ... oh wait, there's some weird movie where she plays a serial killer with Ewan McGregor, and then there's Twisted, worst-reviewed movie of 2004. OK, Enty didn't say the movies were successes, just that she had top billing.
Well, in the paranoia department, read this from Ashley Judd's facebook page (she posted it recently). Note how she throws in compliments to herself about how strong she is. She knows her knees "break noses" - how?
ReplyDelete"Today, I went on a run. Uncharacteristically, on my country road route, I saw someone, a neighbor-ish. He was walking his pretty speckled dog. I know neither his name written or anything about him.
Instantly, without reflection [...] without even noticing this automatic mental habit of decades, I physically assessed him: height, weight, stature, general strength. What is my intuitive sense of, if you were attacked me, how he would do it? He is he armed? No. (I have a hunch I body scan men for arms even when I am not aware I am on high alert.)
But he lives nearby, and most certainly has a gun there.
I looked around.
If he were to drag me, what's my the best direction to run?
My neighbor-ish and I said "hi." My self-defense evaluation relaxed.
Typically, the instantaneous and second part of my thinking is to remind myself of how to fight:
My throne elbows are savage, and my knees break noses (especially given torque and my core strength).
Anything can be grabbed, Ashley, and used as a weapon to injure, or when I am on high alert in this way, the thought is preferably to kill my possible assailant.
I am a woman in America.
I think this way every time I am run.
And sadly, sometimes when I come home, I'm actually surprised that I wasn't wolf whistled, leered at, shouted at, honked at, or in other ways harassed for being a woman out running.
And I have even when traveling, thought to myself "Oh, this is a nice town, no one harassed me. "
Major thankies for the post.Really looking forward to read more. Really Cool.
ReplyDeleteAshley Judd's ex-husband, retired IndyCar racer Dario Franchitti (Scottish born, of Italian descent), remarried last year. He and his new wife Eleanor Robb ("Ellie") had a baby girl a few months ago whom they named Sofia. Ellie has taken Dario's last name ... but there is nothing in the media out there about the new wife and baby because Dario has always been incredibly private. Must have been painful for him to be married to Ashley Judd! He and Ellie live in the UK.
