Blind Items Revealed #1 - Old Hollywood
September 25, 2014
This former B+ list mostly movie actor once starred in one of the most famous movies of all-time was killed. A man was convicted of the crime, but according to the tabloid selling former lover of a deceased A list celebrity it was the A lister who killed the actor after he threatened to go public with their gay love affair if money was not forthcoming.
Sal Mineo/Liberace
juicy!!
ReplyDeleteso it was matt damon who is spilling the beans now huh??
Why would Mineo want to be 'out' in that era? Could this be a lie of the crackhead ex of the celebrity A lister?
ReplyDeleteBullsh*t. Liberace might not have come right out and said "I'm gay!", but he sure as hell didn't seem to hide it. My grandmother and all her friends (way back in the '70's) loved him. They also knew he was gay. Those little ladies didn't give two f**ks. They were diehard fans and swooned at the mention of him.
ReplyDeleteif mineo was married to liZa he was never really In dear
ReplyDeleteor Judy garland
ReplyDeleteI agree. This is bullshit. Liberace would never have risked his fingers on such a pedestrian job, either. Both angles don't work.
ReplyDeleteAll in favor of "BULLSHIT"?
ReplyDelete"Aye"
ReplyDeleteBS nobody alive thought Liberace was straight back then.
ReplyDeleteMike Douglas didn't seem to know Liberace was gay.
ReplyDeleteI really think the Entys are adolescents with shameful googling skills.
ReplyDeleteI have my suspicions about him too
ReplyDeleteAYE Bogus BULLSHIT blind. This is what happens when you outsource for material and bulk purchase it. The blinds here are disposable pseudo storytelling now.
ReplyDeleteEverything that's ever been printed or even said about Liberace indicates that he was a very nice, gentle person. I don't think he'd be capable of S.M. 's murder. But stranger things have happened and not resolved in Hollywood forever. The Black Dahlia's murder being one example.
ReplyDeleteWhile I have real trouble seeing "Lee" go to those lengths, he was very much defensive about the homosexuality accusation; he sued the NY Times in 1958 or so for calling him "fruity" in a review. He definitely would not want to be "outed".
ReplyDeleteLeast believable lie since Richard Nixon's "I am not a crook" speech.
ReplyDeleteI think you'd be surprised at what some people are really capable of.
ReplyDeleteThis reveal isn't that Liberace killed Sal Mineo, it's that Liberace's ex-boyfriend claimed he did.
ReplyDelete@JenniferH, yup, that's what it says. The bullshit point being the whole story is most likely a product of the writer's imagination where tricky wording is key. You must be new here. We've been noticing a pattern..
ReplyDeleteYes I remember he hid it, not well, but when the palimony suit came out it was a really big deal, then he "officially" died from AIDS which back then was a "gay disease" or "drug users disease".
ReplyDeleteWho killed Mineo then? Who else had a motive? I'm not saying I accept this reveal but Liberace could have told the boyfriend if/when he started acting up. Also, he would not do it himself but have it done.
ReplyDeleteIt stinks that Sal Mineo was killed, that is all.
According to other sources, it was over drug money. I don't think Liberace was a pusher.
ReplyDeleteHe sued a publication that said he was gay! So yes he hid it
ReplyDeleteANything is possible in hollywood
ReplyDeleteLiberace did sue the tabloids who said he was gay and he did win! He was always hiding it, he was never out. Elton in his early days tried to hide it too
