Blind Item #4 - Kindness
It is a kindness for this guy, but for the rest of us probably normal behavior. This invariably cranky A list actor was stopped by some tourists with a map and asking directions and our actor spent ten minutes telling them what to see and then got them in a cab and told the driver where to take them and gave the driver a hundred dollar bill to take them around to the spots he mentioned to them.
christian bale
ReplyDeleteand paying a 100 cab fare is not "normal behavior" for the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteWill Ferrell
ReplyDeleteRussell Crowe?
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of cranky actors I guess....
ReplyDeleteIf it were perma A or A+ I'd even say DeNiro.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was perennial crank Sean Pean.
ReplyDelete...probably because the tourists didn't know who he was & they were genuinely confused & lost...& since he wasn't being stopped for the zillionth time to pose for a selfie he was probably so taken aback & pleasantly surprised that he let his guard down & was able to be a 'regular joe' & give them directions w/ no quid pro quo...it must have been refreshingly enjoyable for him..( i sound like i was skulking in the bush behind them & witnessed the whole interaction..)
ReplyDeleteDiNiro
ReplyDeleteTommy Lee Jones
ReplyDeleteFirst thought was Sean Penn
ReplyDelete...Having a $100.00 Bill in one's pocket is not "normal behavior" for the rest of us...
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking NYC...& I'm thinking DeNiro ..& I'm thinking that he sent them down Broadway(6th Ave. to 11th Ave south cuz you see pretty much everything & then onto Tribeca Grill(his restaurant)... But ..my immediate thought was Sean Connery on the Upper East Side if this were a few years ago..
ReplyDeleteHarrison Ford is known for being cranky, too.
ReplyDeleteBruce Willis?
ReplyDelete@back Again - Your comments have me giggling! You are on a roll and I needed to read your funny wit today!;) xo
ReplyDeleteIt probably is Christian Bale. He's been trying to rehab his image for years.
ReplyDeleteI like the Russell Crowe guess
ReplyDeleteCranky, cab, tourists... Me thinks this could be Kelsey Grammer. He's doing a play in NYC right now.
ReplyDeleteThing about this, is $100 may have been a quick and "cheap" (yeah, yeah) way for the actor to get rid of the tourists. I can picture the actor walking down the street, going about his daily routine, a gaggle of tourists approach him (whether or not they recognized him) and start asking him to point out the hot spots on their map. The actor indulges them for 10 minutes or so and finally decides he's got better things to do, hails a cab and slips the cabbie a quick hundo to get the tourists out of his space. By the way, depending on how many people, how far they are driven, for how long, and how many stops they make, a $100 probably didn't go very far...
ReplyDeleteSince this is seemingly an NYC-based blind, I'm gonna go ahead and guess Alec Baldwin. He's got a pretty cranky reputation, but I think it's mostly towards photogs and the like. I think he's actually a pretty decent guy, just a bit high strung and demanding. As most successful people tend to be.
ReplyDeleteAlec Baldwin
ReplyDelete; )
ReplyDeleteFirst name that came to mind for me.
ReplyDeleteI assure you, he is not "pretty decent" to anyone. Even if is hosting an event for you, which was his choice to host.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with Hugh Grant. He's a cranky man.
ReplyDeleteIt could be Baldwin, he lives near me and is always friendly...I know I know...but really one on one he is funny and smart and nice...
ReplyDeletethis is Daniel Day Lewis. This was reported by NYPost’s Page Six some days ago. Enty!!!!!
