Blind Item #7

This actress is probably just B- list, but she has been on three network hits and the thing is, they have been on three different networks. Her latest effort is that big alphabet one. Anyway, she told a story the other night that she almost died on her first big network hit when this actor turned celebrity turned crazy celebrity locked her in a closet on a Friday night because he was angry she wouldn't sleep with him. She was there until Saturday afternoon when by chance, some work needed to be done on the set and one of the items needed was in that closet. If not for that she would have been in the closet for another 9 days because the show was off for the week after that Friday.

But "Spin City" was on ABC, same as "Nashville" is. So not "three different networks" for Connie.

It's possible that Enty could have misremembered "Spin City" as a FOX show because it originally starred Michael J. Fox, I guess, but still.

I don't know, she might have quit the show by the time Charlie Sheen got the part...

    This is what I thought:
Spin City (ABC), Friday night lights (NBC?), American horror story (FX) and now back on ABC.

and Charlie Sheen is probably an actor still? not just a celebrity...but he's crazy anyway ;)

  11. What about one of the shows Andy Dick was on? He is pretty dang crazy.

  12. Connie Britton was also on 24 (on FOX) so it could still work if you consider her to have been on more than 3 network "hits" or maybe Nashville doesn't count as a hit. They say her latest "effort" is on ABC, not hit!

Andy Dick a great guess- if him, maybe it's Andrea Parker:Less than Perfect(NBC)/Desperate Housewives/(ABC)/ now on Pretty Little Liars- wait that's ABC Family....??

  14. I'm stumped... Don't think its Connie. The "big alphabet" clue is throwing me off. Best I could do was Ming Na Was from Agents of SHIELD...she's done a lot of network TV and was on Two and a Half Men for a small recurring role. But she said nothing but great things about Charlie Sheen so I don't know...

Definitely Connie Britton. Spin City doesn't necessarily have to be the big hit. Friday Night Lights was on NBC, American Horror Story on FX, and now Nashville on ABC. Charlie Sheen, who replaced Michael J. Fox, definitely fits the mold of someone who would do that to her.

  16. I thought Connie Britton would be higher than B-...my first thought was Laura Benanti who is on Nashville now and was on Eli Stone, Go On, Playboy Club, SVU, and a bunch of cable series. I really like her. She's a Tony winner but hasn't gotten a good tv break. No idea how to line her up with Sheen though.

  17. How was this guy not arrested or punished in any way for this??

  18. i like the Britton guess. Plus didn't she leave Spin City not long into the Sheen regime? It seemed pretty sudden and her character was popular.

  19. Britton was written out of Spin City really quickly when Sheen came on. Basically totally forgotten.

I thought the "alphabet" clue meant one of the crime shows - CSI etc.

Don't know if it's Ming Na Wen, but she was also on ER (NBC).

"Alphabet' almost always refers to ABC. At least that's how "Variety" would refer to it in their slang, back in the day. (CBS was "eye" and NBC was "peacock". Don't know what they call FOX these days.)
