Unconfirmed initial concerns are that Chris Bosh has a blood clot in his lung. Y! Sports

Miami Herld says he my have blood clots in his lungs which would put him out for the season. Jason Collins retired.

  9. How many famous people have HIV? It sure seems like a lot. I don't know anyone in my personal life that has it.

Pneumonia associated with HIV is Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia. Is that what he has?

I immediately thought of Magic Johnson, but he's retired.

This is obviously supposed to be Chris Bosh but I cal bullshit. They NBA performs a physical that includes all kinds of tests on its players and they would absolutely have an obligation to require him to disclose his condition because of the huge risk it would pose to the other players. Also, I wouldn't call 21 points a game & an all star selection "struggling"

Tricia I always love your answers but you're just throwing spaghetti on the wall here. Jason Collins at best was a C lister

Long time reader, first time commenter. I agree with gossipgal about the NBA's testing; post-Magic, it would be very hard to hide HIV from the league. But that's no fun for a blind item comments section, so from a sports fan perspective...I also agree that Bosh is not struggling this year. Struggling A-lister could be Carmelo, Derrick Rose, Dwight Howard, Kevin Love, Kobe. Kobe's out for the year, Rose is coming back from big injuries, Love is supposedly a health nut, probably not them. Carmelo is likely getting shut down for the year after--playing in the All-Star game--so I'll go with him. (okay, done with the sports talk)

  15. what would happen once it was disclosed to the league? would they not allow a player with HIV? They couldn't reveal that publicly, right? because of HIPAA? just curious because I know nothing about this kind of stuff.

I thought Magic had to leave because of this. I know it was a long time ago, but contagion is still with fluids touching wounds among other causes. I don't know for sure because I'm a cracker and don't give an f word about basketball.

Chris Bosh's wife slept with Lil Wayne.

  18. I saw him play recently against a team I was rooting for and he was a pain in the butt. All his shots went in.

  19. Just because a health condition is revealed to the team and players doesn't mean it is to the public. Plus, HIV is not that contagious where just playing sports with someone would spread it. Even high contact/blood sports like football, it is unlikely.
