Yearbook committee. I had just gotten a new nose and I was determined to be remembered as the post op me and not the pre-op me so I made sure I was in a majority of the pics lol
None at my school..I wanted to be in the drama club but it was by secret vote of those already in the club so I wasn't voted in. I want to add, that looking back at the West Charlotte Wrecking Crew from 1978 not a single one of them went into acting. I wanted to stand on that stage, accepting my Oscar, and thank the WC Wrecking Crew for rejecting me..I am NOT bitter!
There was another club at the local children's theatre that I headed up though so there! (Insert Bronx cheer)
You had to be voted into the Drama Club? How dramatic. At all three of my high schools Drama Club was mostly composed of the kids who didn't run fasted enough when the teacher was looking for sign-ups.
Oh, and those of us that were in the Stage Craft class.
Me too @Harlow. My momma made me start working at a Jamba Juice! I had to serve all the mean girls from my school and came home everyday smelling like bananas and protein boost. But at least I didn't turn out to be an entitled shit, and I have a pretty solid work ethic. Thanks Mom!
School newspaper, chorale, library club, school musical (Guys and Dolls and Anything Goes), jv volleyball, varsity lacrosse. Private school nerd type clubs. My school was just like in the 80's movies with many James Spader rich kid stereotypes.
@discoflux-I can still conjugate the verb to be in all the tenses. Latin rules!
Nothing sponsored by the school because I didn't want to be there one second longer than necessary. So instead I worked part time and also volunteered at the MS Society and at the Challenger Baseball League (a modified little league for kids with disabilities...such an amazing experience!).
cheerleading, golf, soccer, gymnastics. Class officer. Community service committee. Environmental committee. Honor society. Talented and Gifted. Local democratic committee.
Unless "f word paper bags" or "drink as much booze as you can" count, I don't think that joining clubs in high school thing is customary here, therefore none.
My Mom used to say I was in every club but the Spanish Club. I was a cheerleader, played volleyball, basketball, marched with the band at parades, I was in the service club, and editor of the school newspaper.
After all of that, I don't want any part of clubs or committees. Too much bitching and criticism. If someone needs help with an event I'll help, but only on my terms.
Class Ring Association
ReplyDelete@FSP Me, too! HA!
