    1. Doesn't that depend on what you feed the pig?

    2. If a pig is fed veggies then bacon would have to count as vegetarian, at the very least!

  27. GO EBOLA HYSTERIA. I'm with Jucky on my weariness about the stupid reaction to something with well defined, scientifically verified contours.

That said, I'm making a killing on my vaccine stock. Every time the media and peeps press the hysteria button I get a bump in my stock price.

So far, I've been able to get to half the cost of my bathroom remodel on hysteria alone. Guido needs a new bathroom. Stay insane, America!

    1. @QueenAnne Is your money on TKMR (Tekmira)? When market closed after CDC confirmed the virus in the US, TKMR went up 25%+. They've had the highest jump so far. Other companies benefiting on Ebola are BioCryst, Sarepta, Inovio, NewLink, GSK and even Japan's FujiFilm (Remember when Fuji used to compete with Kodak? Now they're up against the GSKs and Novartiss. Word is TKMR is still the most advanced of the Ebola companies.

  30. I'd like to mention Team Rubicon. This is an awesome group of Military Vets who continue to give back. They've shown incredible growth & support in less than 6 years.

Team Rubicon works with First Responders during Natural Disasters; both here in the US & in other countries.

One of the great things about Team Rubicon is they don't have to deal with red tape. They treat each Disaster Recovery as a "Mission." Evaluate. Mobilize. Get in. Get out. Mission accomplished.

Oftentimes, as in the case of Superstorm Sandy, they reach the disaster area before other groups (e.g., Red Cross) & get the areas cleared so First Responders can start working immediately.

I can't speak highly enough about Team Rubicon. I'm just so damn proud of this group of Military Vets who wanted to continue to utilize their skills & help others, so they set up this nonprofit group.

Please take a moment & check out Team Rubicon. There are all sorts of ways to help. Thanks! :-)

  33. If you get a chance to see Paul McCartney on this tour, go. I saw him last weekend at Petco Park in San Diego. It far exceeded my expectations. I saw him twice in Anaheim several years ago, and he was so much better this time. He's 72 years old, so I don't expect him to be touring for many more years. Unlike some artists from decades ago that go on tour, he didn't emphasize just his new stuff. He did lots of Beatles, Wings and solo stuff (both new and old). There was every age there. I went with my hubby, teenage daughter and mother.

  44. Please remember Thanksgiving is a few weeks away so donate to your local food bank - and if you can afford to buy an extra turkey or two it would make the holiday extra special. This is also the time of year appeals for financial and donations are sent out..we have families who are struggling financially, people who are making difficult decisions. One more before I go - if you need help you are not alone, call your local food bank we give far more than food, we try to provide hope, friendship and support.
