  2. I wish the pizza places where I live knew how to make decent pies with good crusts instead of the Midwest crap they pass off here. The three or four places that make "NY style pizza" aren't very good at it. Papa Johns is close to the best pizza down here.

  3. Degiorno. And just add bacon.

  4. I find it hard to believe that you can't find a morning pizza place in LA. Hell, we have them here in Sacramento. We used to get breakfast pizza delivered to our office all the time.

  6. We've been doing DeGiorno for a while now at my place. I haven't had crappy Pizza Hut or Dominos in years.

DiGiorno has the extras like breadsticks, wings and even chocolate chip cookies. It's really cheap too.

    Now I'm hungry...damn you Enty.

Sharing the pepperoni with someone special in bed makes it even yummier :)

    1. That was my first thought as well. Enty obviously isn't looking hard enough. If we have them, surely LA does too.

    2. And cheese. It's a little slice of heaven (and Buffalo Pizza sells ice cream as well. So, really, what's not to love?)

  10. Just buy it the night before and eat it cold the next morning. For extra atmosphere leave a couple dozen empty beer bottles and a couple of ashtrays piled high with cigarette butts and ashes. You'll think you're back in college.

    1. Gag, I've had that exactly once (when the Kings were in the play-offs and there wasn't a pizza to be found in Sacramento.) They were two hours late and it was the worst pizza I've ever eaten. I'd rather have Dominos, which I refuse to have in my house.

  16. We have lots of local joints around here that make an awesome pie--and a place that makes KILLER Greek pizza too--mmm..drooling on keyboard..must get to J&G's soon...

  17. BTW--I'm in Northwest Ohio--so If we can get a good pie here, you HAVE to have a place...lol

  18. Yeah but I gotta poke @SandyB
He's from NY (I think?) and NewYorkers love a whole different "pie" or "slice".
When I moved there for some years, I almost fell over at what they considered the best pizza. I was NOT impressed, in fact I was DEPRESSED. I kinda get it now, but it's different- from Calif, at least.
Sandy's "Papa Johns" comment grabbed me for a second of sadness, but I remembered his East Coast roots and understood.
Hey, Yo, ya know, New Yorkers don't prefer Cali "pizza" either - they like a thin crust (fresh), simple, "pie". It''s a territorial taste.

    1. @SYF: New Yorkers: pizza = San Diegans: burritos. Dammit that's a great GRE question!!!

We are picky as fuck because we do it best and we make sure everyone knows it LOL. It seems like the more north you go from el Mexico way, the shittier it gets. And don't even get me started on Chipotle. I'd rather take a Cali burrito from any shithole named whateverBerto's than step foot in there. Also: this...

  23. Thanks for the bd wishes. I'm getting to lay in bed, eat cold pizza, hang out with our two doxies, and read gossip blogs. My partner will come home early, we'll go out to a great restaurant for dinner. In a week, we'll go to the Bay Area to see a new modern art exhibit in Palo Alto. Does life get better?
