@pumpkintitties where did you go?!? We have bidnez to handle!
*The Judith reunion with her daddy and big brother is all I can think about today. That silent thank you expression on Lincoln's face brought the water works *Interesting to compare protecting the baby with an anchor in the middle of the ocean. Judith's role is wholly symbolic- she may be a "burden" in the zombie apocalypse but a burden worth carrying nevertheless. Judith is a symbol of life and something to live for. She is proof of humanity still existing and being worth a fuck. *Terminus was the TV show expression of the SD based band, Cattle Decapitation. The homeboys must have loved that! *Loved the chat on what makes a man good or bad and whether a bad man can ever "turn" good. *I like/missed watching zombies die!
***WARNING: Good Wife SPOILERS*** *Sucia! Sucia! Fuck that DUI stop! *Does Kalinda ever change outfits? That rata! How dare she tell Bishop about Alicia's plans! *Dear lord I hate that woman and her irritating ass Tasmanian devil of a kid through my TV screen *Welp! Looks like Alicia couldn't even start her campaign against corruption with a clean slate. Bishop really owns her ass now :( *Loved the juxtaposition between the opposition discovery meeting and Grace's choir singing group interrupting it. Perfect analogy for everything going on in that home. *Poor Alicia reminded me of that kid in the movie Orange County. She works so hard but her family's fuck ups keep holding her back. *Peter should've let her "have" that one. He was wrong to give their son a heads up that Alicia knew about the abortion -------------------------------------------
***WARNING: HOMELAND SPOILERS*** *Blaming everyone else for Sandy's death already, are we Carrie? *When trying to say you're fit to leave the agency, it may be a reasonable idea not to storm out of the session...Ditto for choking out Adal. Even if he deserved it. What a dick thing to say to a traumatized Quinn *Sophisticated with a half gallon of schnapps! *The title Shalwar Kameez refers to a two piece Indian outfit, the lead theory behind it being that Carrie and Quinn are being set up to be the next romance story line on the series. Conflicted feelings about that. Ironically, I have a feeling that could be Carrie's MOST functional relationship. Aayan seems more up her alley of crazy ass. *EW.com pointed out that Quinn's caller ID kept popping up "Dar Adal." Riiiight. Spies totes use real names in their contacts list. Also: breakfast foods are Homeland S4's Chekov's gun (bloody waffles with Quinn last week; near choke out doughnuts with Adal this week). Great catch!!!
I'm here lady.. long day running tests at Dr's Loved homeland and love the new attitude of Quinn He has always loved Carrie. Especially when he threatened to kill the head of Langley for wanting Quinn to take her and Brody out in season 2 Remember that whole I'm the guy that kills bad people thing... He was always carries protector from afar..
Loved it when they showed Tyresse kill that 'termite' for almost hurting baby Judith and the showed the scene outside the cabin... Destroyed all the walkers without any weapons! Each member of their group is a force to be reckoned with. Loved badass Carol!
I agree - I am so happy to see badass Rick back! And Daryl & Carol's reunion was fantastic as well. And how bad-ass is she?? I loved when she opened the door after shooting Mary. Btw, if you're not watching The Talking Dead, they give a LOT of information there - like Mary being Gareth's mother & Gareth's brother being the one on the slab that they were sawing. AND I never would have recognized the first guy to go down in the trough from last season!
Who is gareth? Confused now... I do remember them centering on the guy on the slab... ohh ok maybe hes the guy with the bad guy group that was doing all the talking? Shees I need to go rewatch the episode now. Im intrigued...
Loved, loved it..the carol/darryl reunion was great and Judith reunited with her Dad and Carl was just the right ending to a pretty intense show. Counting the days until next episode! Favorite show ever!
Loved it! Although, as a mom to a toddler and also currently 8 months preggo, the scenes where that asshat had his hands on baby Judith definitely did me in. I was a mess!
Ok, TWD has always been gross and gratuitous, but I felt like the first five minutes was gore for the sake of gore. The producers need to watch some old Hitchcock movies and revert to more is less.
Love me some Carol. Even if her zombie smudge was PERFECTLY applied.
I take my gore where I can with TWD, because I know they are gonna get "talky" during the rest of the season. Right now the Walkers aren't even scary, but the other humans who are. I've noticed Rick & Co treat the Walkers like mosquitoes now.
Sucks doesnt it. I literally died last season on the episodes with darryl and the little blonde girl. I kept hoping they would just fuck and get it over with so we wouldnt have to keep hearing them talk about stoopid shit.
Also has anyone noticed how TWD brings up random people to kill or for Walker fodder? I didn't remember the Penguin from last season at all. It's like he just appeared.
His name was Sam, he was with the girl, people refer to them as hippies and by the end of the ep. Girl was dead/undead, but Sam was gone. BTW Rick gave him his watch, that Carol later found at Terminus

Ooooo, totally makes sense!! Yesssss we need a new psychotic villain or this shit gonna get boring quivk. Thanks for clearing that up for me, Henriette! You saved me an hour of re watching the show.
Great start to the season, especially after a slow, quiet last half of the previous one. I love how well they work as a team. My heart was about to jump out of my chest during the trough scene - I thought Glen or Bob was going to die for sure!
@Jade Totally! Rick was right about killing off the Termites. I don't know why the rest were so stupid. You'd think they, especially Michonne, would have learned after Woodbury and the Governor. You got to learn from your mistakes in the post-Apocalyptic world. Also the scenes of what happened at Terminus to turn them into cannibals will need to be explained, so the Termites aren't done. There is a theory running around that the blonde girl, I can never remember her name, is in another section of Terminus.
I too love what has happened to Carol. She's gone from a scared battered wife to a major survivor. That's just great writing and acting.
TWD has gotten so much better since losing whiny Lori and dumbass Andrea. Carl is still an idiot, but has become more tolerable.
@Dena I think Bob's a goner. The rumor is Glenn will be killed off by mid-season before the hiatus. No one has seen Steven Yeun (Glenn) filming in Georgia lately.
I loved the very VERY end, maybe it ran post-credits, of Morgan coming back. I do love how they bring back those characters from previous episodes, even if their screen time is short, because their stories are important.
I hope none of the Termites come back during the season. The Woodbury story line was the worst, IMO. Hated everything about it, particularly how the Governor's story line just went on and on and on...
The Glenn and Maggie story is getting old. One of them must die this season. I hope they keep Bob around a bit longer, but now that Tyreese is back, they could off him like T-Dog or Big Tiny.
How bout them Cowboys
ReplyDeleteHow about that weather?
ReplyDeleteYes, I've been having weather also. awkward pause
DeleteOMG was so good.....i actually teared up at the reunion :D
ReplyDeleteLoved it, it was pretty awesome seeing the whole bunch together again

Good points there @mah boo. Hope all is well with you. You were missed!
DeleteHow 'bout them EAGLES, bitch?!
ReplyDeleteSo gloomy here, @Gayeld.
ReplyDeleteIt was the best premiere! I love seeing Rick kick ass and am so glad it didn't follow the comics by killing of baby Judith.
ReplyDeleteI love when he gets crazy like that. Omgosh
DeleteLoved it when they showed Tyresse kill that 'termite' for almost hurting baby Judith and the showed the scene outside the cabin... Destroyed all the walkers without any weapons! Each member of their group is a force to be reckoned with. Loved badass Carol!
ReplyDeleteWho knew Carol was gonna go all G.I. Jane. Thats my bish now.
DeleteNot many of us "older" chicks kicking ass on t.v. Go Carol go! Loved it.

ReplyDeleteOh wow, I didn't catch any of that!
DeleteAlso, the first guy who had his throat slit into the trough..
DeleteHe is on Gotham as the penguin!

ReplyDeleteHenrietta, he was the guy in the house with the girl who didn't make it, in the episode where Rick kicked Carol out of the group.
DeleteHis name was Sam, he was with the girl, people refer to them as hippies and by the end of the ep. Girl was dead/undead, but Sam was gone. BTW Rick gave him his watch, that Carol later found at Terminus

Delete@Eros
ReplyDeleteI forgot about that couple! Still he's random.
Gareth was the Terminus leader, and one of Mary's sons. I don't think he's dead. I think he is Governor 2. TWD LOVES hanging on to their villains.
Yeah, the talky episodes get to me, unless they serve a purpose to tell back stories.
The fire walkers are cool!
I'm thinking Rick was right to want to go back and finish them off( termites) it's going to come back to haunt them.
DeleteOoooo, totally makes sense!! Yesssss we need a new psychotic villain or this shit gonna get boring quivk. Thanks for clearing that up for me, Henriette! You saved me an hour of re watching the show.
ReplyDeleteCarol Feckin' Rambo! 'nothing is over'....
ReplyDeleteGreat, great opening episode.
I'm still traumatised by that trough scene, sheesh!
ReplyDeleteAlso the walking dead had 17.3 million viewers last night. .wow..
ReplyDeleteWant Carol's hair salt & pepper before? It looked light brown blonde last night.

Yeah, I think Bob's death is a given, but I will be upset when Glen goes.
Delete@henriette... Yes! Beth is lit blonde girl, lol. Someone has her, not convinced she at Terminus. I will be so sad if Glenn dies!
ReplyDelete"priest" has Beth
DeleteWish I had seen this post yesterday!
