What mother of a recently deceased legend of a singer still isn't 100% comfortable with the rumors resurfacing involving her daughter's bisexuality?
Cissy Houston

Cissy Houston
Why was this a blind if you watched Oprah
ReplyDeleteI don't watch Oprah. ;)
ReplyDeleteget over it Cissy. stupid bitch.
ReplyDeleteAnother VIP victory
ReplyDeleteHomegirl just wanna dance with somebody....no need for pronouns! Cisgender Cissy just don't get it
Why a blind? And really, im not sure its all that shocking- many moms wouldnt want to think of their daughters being gay or bi
ReplyDeleteRosie, you're correct. Should have seen my mama's face when I said I's much prefer and husband and a wife but not two husbands.
DeleteYoure a smart lady
DeleteGee, I wonder why a mother wouldn't be 100% comfortable with rumours about her DEAD daughter. /sarcasm
ReplyDeletebut shes comfortable with her daughter smoking crack? I remember reading about her going to crack houses and staying for hours and hours. The others there hated it because she would act like a demanding diva! lmao. and would eventually call Bobby to get rid of her.
ReplyDeletePriorities, Derek! Lol
DeleteShe's an old Black lady. Homosexuality is not, and probably never will be, totally accepted in the Black community. I imagine Miss Cissy doesn't want people to think badly of her dead daughter. The fact that Whitney died of a drug overdose is way less important to her mother than people thinking she was gay.
ReplyDeleteAlso remember, the Houston family began as a religious singing group and I believe there is a preacher in there somewhere. It's really complicated.
@Essie---I thought Cissys brother or Whitneys dad ---someone in the family---was a closet case and died of AIDS---I could be wrong ...
ReplyDeleteHow odd. I had a dream last night that I met Cissy Houston. I am not making that up. I called her a legend and she was thrilled.
ReplyDeleteOoooh! How Shervoyant of you @Sherry!!!
DeleteLadyH, here's another one for this week. I was bitching on Monday about how my Salesforce ate a lead who was a friend of mine. He ended up calling me on Friday. We spoke last 15 months prior. Just odd! I had no way to get in touch with him but he had my #.
DeleteReally, Cissy? Your daughter died from drugs, and it's the bisexuality that bothers you?
ReplyDeleteExactly naughty nurse, exactly. Not to mention beyond screwed up daughter.
DeleteITA. Of all the things in Whitney's life to have been upset about...
DeleteOh No Bobby Brown!
ReplyDeleteCissy Houston was on Letterman recently singing back up to Aretha Franklin.......and she could hardly keep up. Frankly, I think Whitney's death put her over the edge.
ReplyDeleteYa, I wondered wth Cissy was doing singing backup? It was weird.
ReplyDeleteYou'd think she might be a tad bit concerned about her grandaughter who appears to be circling the bowl.
ReplyDelete"Rumors"? Whitney's girlfriend traveled with the family all through the early years of her career. Cissy knew about it.
ReplyDelete@califblondly
You are aware that Cissy has been singing background for Aretha for YEARS right? Maybe she wanted to get out the house.
"Homosexuality is not, and probably never will be, totally accepted in the Black community."
ReplyDelete@Essie, that's too sad a statement - probably the same statement that has been said of many communities. But with continued challenge of the social status quo, a difference will be made.
Cosign above comments re of all the things Whitney did, that this is the taboo, but who's to judge someone's grief.
