Having a Wednesday matinee performance for Lindsay Lohan to appear in was always going to be a roll of the dice. This supposition requires that she actually wakes up before noon which is generally just a few hours after she finally has a pile of cigarette butts big enough to call a mattress. Yesterday Lindsay called in sick to the afternoon show and said that her doctor told her she needs rest. The rest was short lived because shortly after Tweeting that she would also be missing the shows last night she suddenly got all better and showed up. I'm guessing the producers had a word with her or wanted a note from the doctor. One matinee was ok, but not showing up for an entire day was going to be too much.
I have to admit I thought Lindsay would miss lots more shows and be out partying every night, but she finally showed some common sense. She restricts her drinking to inside now instead of out at clubs and she has done a really good job of showing up for her performances. She still has not acted very well in any of the performances but I do have to give her credit for showing up and being ready to get on stage.

ReplyDeleteI am here Sandyboo. Honestly as I am not a sports fan the only way I knew we'd won was by the people going nuts in the streets. It was crazy with blaring horns, fireworks and screaming. A co-worker said he was going to riot in the Mission and burn a bus. Hope it's not the 81X. That's mine to the office.

ReplyDeleteBacksliding happens but missing one show is pretty minimal (from the addict's perspective, not from the perspective of the people who hired her and who paid to see her in the show but then it's not like it's a secret that she's an addict). Personally, I'd lay off her. She's doing well, considering. I'm a little worried, though, about what happens when the show ends and she's got no daily obligation anymore.
Her understudy must be so disappointed. She probably thought she had it in the bag, with Lindsay as the lead.

Sorry but maybe she was genuinely ill...is a possibility. Okay, she has alcohol issues and as it's so well documented but that girl is obviously suffering anxiety as if it was caused by drinking I doubt she enjoys having a drink problem. Does an alci enjoy it? Really? We are told to accept mental illnesses. If this girl had had better parents and some support she wouldn't keep falling off the wagon. I actually feel sorry for her. She knows no better.

ReplyDeleteThey are not my "local team." That used to be the 49ers. The Giants are NY rejects who have held SF hostage many times, especially with the way they got their ballpark built. If you want to see one reason the 49ers are in Santa Clara, just look at what the Giants did with bond measures and building on SF's dime did to turn the natives against professional sports.
