The reason this former A list mostly television actress looks so good despite her age is that her former A+ list mostly movie actor ex beat her so badly and so often that she found the best plastic surgeon money could buy.
Loni Anderson/Burt Reynolds

Loni Anderson/Burt Reynolds
I always thought she bearded for him and was paid very well.
ReplyDelete@Zach got this awfully sad blind
ReplyDeleteDoris Day was with him for a long time too. She didn't seem the type to put up with this. Wonder why he felt he could get away with it with Loni? What a pig.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Doris Day dated Burt Reynolds. Wow...interesting.
ReplyDeleteAs for looking good, despite her age? If she's had lots of Plastic Surgery, she'd look her age, but freaky looking.
Dinah Shore

ReplyDelete@ zach...on the attack FTW
ReplyDeleteReynolds your punishment is looking at your whack ass face everyday...
Oh, and Striptease" ( though that was more our punishment, wasn't it)
How was Loni Anderson A list? She never starred in a movie and her TV show in the late 70s was not a big hit. Nothing very memorable today. She was mainly famous for her relationship with Reynolds.
ReplyDeleteWhat an asshole.
ReplyDeleteGod, what a pig.
ReplyDeleteHe dated Dinah Shore, too - that was an odd couple.
ReplyDeleteI loved her show Easy Street so much as a kid... gotta youtube that one, for sure. Loni was so cool in her day.
ReplyDeletewKRP in Cincinnati...was massive
ReplyDeleteI think Burt bearded Dinah....@ Dena
ReplyDeleteHey rolo!!
ReplyDeleteWow, I have no memory of this blind except it makes total sense.
ReplyDelete@David Howes
ReplyDeleteMe too
Sorry I meant Dinah Shore, not Doris Day!! Thanks B6 for correcting me.
ReplyDeleteriiiiight Dinah Shore's who ...not doris..
ReplyDeletegood morning
Good mornin Rolo!
DeleteHow you doiiiiiiin?

ReplyDeleteIm gonna check our weekend BIs now & try to catch up

ReplyDeleteIt was not a secret.Loni yet talked about his violence 20 years ago
My aunt slept with him. Told me he sucked in bed.
ReplyDeleteJudy Carne said he beat her too. I always thought Burt was deeply closeted and self-loathing. In the 70's he looked like the lost member of the Village People and had campy friends like Dom Deluise and Charles Nelson Reilly but he was super duper macho.
ReplyDeleteG'mornin Lady H.!!
ReplyDeleteweekend was...ok.
hope yours was good
Yup, when the lesbian weekend in Palm Springs is called The Dinah Shore weekend that should say what their relationship was.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it was Lesbian weekend back in the day, but I was there for the weekend during Kraft Nabisco tourney and it certainly was Ladies' night. We had a blast.
DeleteI think Dinah liked the fellas.
Years and years ago, I read a Rona Barrett memoir. In it, she hinted about a celebrity/actor who beat up his wife and all the hints pointed to Burt Reynolds and his wife Judy Carne.
ReplyDeleteHe was with Sally fields for a long time.Never heard of trouble..dunno about this..loni looked like she had work done before she hooked up with him.
ReplyDeleteShe should have hired somebody to take him out behind a bar and beat the shit out of him with a lead pipe. I hate hearing this kind of stuff. He probably knew better than to touch Giget/The Flying Nun. What a ginormous prick! Glad his career went in the dumper years ago.
ReplyDeleteI remember reading an article in which Burt criticized Loni's cooking skills - saying the only thing she made during their time together was pasta. I was like what's wrong with pasta? It's fucking delicious! LOL
ReplyDeleteI've always liked Loni and I think she looks great. I agree that Burt seems like a total rage case - glad she got out
I don't think he was with Doris Day, it was Dinah Shore.
ReplyDeleteBurt used to date Sally Fields for years. He loved her.
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten Burt and Sally. I hope he wasn't beating her up as well!
ReplyDelete"The Dinah" has nothing to do with Ms. Shore except it takes place during what used to be called the LPGA Colgate Dinah Shore tournament (now the Kraft Nabisco Championship). She definitely liked the men. That girl got around.
ReplyDeleteHe is really a pos.
ReplyDeleteI dare say I'm something of a "Dinah Shore Expert," if there is such a thing. I've been obsessed with her since I was a kid and even did a cabaret show about her life singing all her hit tunes from the '40s. Its what I do. From the extensive reading I've done, it would seem that Dinah was quite a fan of the menfolk and, as far as I can tell, not interested in the ladies "that way." She was a big athlete, which was an out growth of treatment she received for polio as a small child. She sponsored the golf tournament, which became a big draw for lesbians but not because they were drawn to Dinah's sapphic powers, but because many professional golfers were lesbians and who doesn't want to hang out in Palm Springs in early spring? Good times for everyone. And that's how "The Dinah" weekend started.
ReplyDeleteIt was rumored that Burt would have married Dinah, but she was too old to have kids and he wanted them.
ReplyDeleteBastard
ReplyDeleteLoni was big back in the day with WKRP in Cincinnati and TV movies. Burt was a huge prick to women. He put Loni is some of his movies but he was past his sell by date.
ReplyDeleteI hope she took him for everything she could get before he.declared bankruptcy for.the 5th time. They adopted a son together but I think Burt just left him with Loni and didn't want to pay child support. I wonder what happened to him.
I remember reading a story from just around the time they separated that she had taken her engagement ring to have it appraised for the divorce and it was cubic zirconia! Wife beater and a cheap fuck
