Blind Items Revealed

August 27, 2012

This celebrity has A list name recognition although she is probably just a B- or even a C+ list celebrity. Back in the day she was all over the world and A list through and through. She has gone through a fortune or two because of some bad decisions with the men in her life. Our celebrity grew up thinking the man should be in charge of all the finances in a family. Despite the fact that our celebrity has earned millions of dollars a year for almost the past 20 years she barely has anything to show for it because of her poor decisions. The first man she was with got the celebrity involved in a bunch of bad businesses which cost her half her fortune. The now ex also managed to pocket several million dollars of her money and also got a nice settlement when they split because she had no idea he had taken the money. Somehow she managed to bounce back on her feet and lost most of what she had regained because one of her boyfriends wanted to make a movie. That cost her almost everything again and nothing ever happened to the movie except that her boyfriend personally auditioned all the female leads for the movie and ended up sleeping with lots of them. So, the celebrity was paying for her boyfriend to have sex with strangers. She bounced back with nice settlement agreement of her own after a very short relationship. Combined with a nice boost in income over the past several years you would think she would be on her feet and solid. She thinks she is but her current significant other has her in an investment she thinks is going great because he spends most of his day preparing paperwork that says it is, when in reality he is borrowing more money from other people to try and fix it and using our celebrity as collateral. She has no idea that he has her on the line for most of her remaining money should this go bad and that if it does she will have to go back out and figure out a new way to make back her millions all over again.

  6. Oh Mel B, did you not learn from the first mistake.

Cut the current loser loose before he loses anymore of your money and either stick to men with as much or more money than you and ones that do not ask you for one penny or just sleep with men and don't get into relationships.

Everyone knows most movies are money losers and the people who invest in them make so much money that they are often looking for the loss. Unless Steven Spielberg is your producer forget about it.

The band INXS in their heyday made so much money in 1987 or 1988 they needed some tax shelters so they invested money in Crocodile Dundee because they were assuming it would lose money and then it was a global box office smash so they were back where they started, looking for another tax shelter.

  12. She gets 50k a month for Eddie Murphy daughter. A one night stand basically and 50k. Per month for 18 years? ?

  13. I like Mel B, always have but that child needs to get her head out of her a$$ and handle her own money.

  14. She's a fool. Apparently the only good move she made is to trick Eddie Murphy and get pregnant. Otherwise, she's just stupid.

    1. Whatever Mel b is or isn't, Eddie Murphy didn't need to have his hand held (well, maybe he did, a little) as to how babies are made. There was no trickery. He saw a hell of a nice piece of ass and went for it.

  15. She's still got enough money to wear jewelry in the surf, & pay someone for a dodgy hairstyle :)
Also is her hubby's name really belafonte? For reals??

  16. She is stupid to put her men in charge of her money. But then you have to have be wise in who you charge to manage it. Too many stories where a star has to sue their accountant for stealing from them.

  17. Remember Lauren Hutton, who was maybe the first supermodel before they were calling them supermodels? (The clicky is a link to a long Vanity Fair article about her.) She was a tomboy from Florida with a gap in her front teeth who went on to become the top model in the world in the 1960's, and she had a lucrative contract with Revlon for years.

For 30 years had a live-in boyfriend who didn't really work, and he embezzled most of her money. She ended up broke, then they split up and he somehow still had $4 million of her money. Then to add insult to injury, when he died, he left HER money that he had stolen from her, to another woman.

She had to go back to work in her 40's. Never regained her fortune but she's comfortably off.

Then there was a young model, Maggie Rizer, not a super-model but very successful doing runway work, print ads, she'd made a tidy amount estimated at $7 million. Her stepfather embezzled everything she owned (gambling and drinking). He went to prison for it.

  18. pb.. i always look forward to your commentary.. thanks for the link about lh.. i will read later.. i was aware of the maggie rizer one, but girls need to be having their money and accounts audited once a year if they are not handling their money

a fool and their money are easily parted..

  19. Oh, that Vanity Fair article doesn't cover the embezzlement. Sorry bout that. But yeah, he left what was remaining of her money to another woman when he died of cancer in 1997. And before that, when they were together, he chased women and told them (while he was living with Lauren Hutton) that he was her beard and she was really gay.

A real prince of a guy.

  20. Hope Mel B sees the light and starts taking responsibility for her own money.
Women/ men usually know their partners are spending their money but don't want to be alone so they let them spend...

  21. By total coincidence, I recently came across another sad story of a recording artist having all her money stolen.

Except this happened 50 years ago!

There's this bakery I go to sometimes and one of the bakers is named Dominik. So the other day when I went in for some reason I started chanting at him "Dominique nique nique..." From what I thought was a nursery rhyme I vaguely remembered from my childhood.

Anyway ... other people who heard me chimed in, it seemed they all knew the song. So when I got home I looked it up.

Turns out that it was a religious song written by the original Singing Nun who was in a Dominican convent in Belgium. She had a guitar and used to sing for her fellow nuns, and her order encouraged her to record an album.

She did and in 1963 it became an international sensation, with the song "Dominique" rising to #1 in many countries. She even appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964.

Anyway, she never saw a dime from the royalties, her record label kept most of it and her convent got the rest.

She left the convent in the late 1960's and tried to revive her career but wasn't allowed to use her stage name (Soeur Sourire or Sister Smile).

Then the government came after her for back taxes. She said she didn't owe any taxes because she hadn't received any of the royalties, but her former convent denied responsibility and she was saddled with the debt. She and her female lover committed suicide when she was 52.

    That's so incredibly sad.

As someone who was born Catholic, I am weary of the absolute hypocrisy and downright evil actions of the Church. Anyway, I'm a lapsed Catholic.

    Here's the clicky.

  22. Here's the "video" of the song Dominique except it's not really a video, just the audio with some still photos.

  23. There is a large segment of the female population who do this sort of thing on a daily basis...be it a cultural or religious thing. A lot of women believe that the man should be in charge of the finances and have no idea where any of the household money goes, or where it may be hidden, or how to pay a bill, or even use a bank card. I don't think I could ever be that naive or trusting with anyone.

  26. But this blind was 2 years ago and she looks f*#king AMAZING. Like she's living the life and having a blast, and she definitely looks likes she still in love. Maybe his gamble paid off?

  27. RiRi also looks like she's living the life and having a blast and, according to Enty, she's nearly broke. I have no patience for people who are filthy rich and lose it all because they were stupid. Can you say MC Hammer?
