Blind Items Revealed- Kindness

February 13, 2014

This A list mostly television actor who has been on television or on the movies forever and is still great looking is on a hit network show. While filming his show he ran into a homeless man that he actually knew. After giving the man a meal at the craft services table our actor hired the man as an extra for five days of shooting.

  5. He's a good guy. His father was famous and a Heisman Trophy winner so he was brought up right within the acting community. Pams supposed to be a princess too.

  8. I adore Mark Harmon. Also, I'm not sure why this was a BI. It was an actual story. The guy he helped was on his football team at UCLA.

Mark Harmon Gave Homeless Man Job as NCIS Extra

MARK Harmon could quite possibly be one of the nicest guys in Hollywood!

The NCIS actor was left stunned when a grungy, homeless-looking guy approached him during location shooting at the Barclay Hotel in downtown LA.

The homeless guy reportedly said to Mark, “I don’t know if you remember me, but I used to kick your ass!”

The film crew tensed a second until Mark started laughing.

The man in question played against Mark when the actor quarterbacked UCLA’s football team.

“Yeah, I remember you…you sacked me good,” said Mark as the two started chatting about old times – and hard times the guy had fallen on, according to reports.

Learning his old rival had recently lost his job and was living in a shelter, Mark sat him down for a meal at the crafts table, reports the National Enquirer.

“They reminisced about their football days, but when it was time to go back to work, Mark excused himself for a couple of minutes,” a source said.

“Then he came back and told the guy he’d arranged for him to work as an extra for the next four or five days they’d be filming downtown – and they walked onto the set together smiling.”

  10. @ SYF OMG--I'd forgotten about Pearl Drops!! LOL

Love Mark Harmon. He's still a hottie and has always seemed like a really good guy. Pam's supposed to be a sweetie, too.

  11. Didn't he and wife buy out a grocery store to give to the homeless or some such?

  12. I've often heard that he and his wife are two of the nicest people in Hollywood and that they're very genuine!

  13. I worked with Pam and I can attest that she is a sweetie. Mark was shy and I didn't actually talk to him when he was there visiting Pam. Seemed like he wanted to be left alone and just let Pam have her place in the limelight.

  14. I have loved him for as long as I can remember.

  15. I love him. He'll always be Mr. Shoop to me

  16. Actually, Mark and Kris's sister Kelly was the Tic Tac girl. I think Kris only acted, playing herself, on "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet," and maybe one or two films.

Love Mark and Pam! I will always believe any kindness blinds about them and I will completely and unequivocally reject any nasty ones.

  17. I'm sure Mark is a great guy but not ready to pile on hero worship based on this blind. Yes nice gesture but given that he is is multimillionaire it is akin to us giving $20 to a homeless guy we recognize. In fact, it didn't cost him a dime- he got a meal from craft services and arranged for some work as extra. Wouldn't we all do that in the same position? Don't get me wrong, I think he is great and it was sure nice because he could have blown the guy off as a lot of celebs would probably would have done but this is pure PR piece. Is this what we are reduced to - celeb acts like a decent guy and he is a hero?

  18. Nice to hear these kind of stories every once in a while. So much scummy behavior in Hollywood that we should be reminded that not everybody is a monster

  19. He does a lot of this kind of thing.

  20. That's what homeless people need, a job that gives them dignity, not just charity like they were street dogs.

  21. Harmon is a mensch.

  22. Given the assholiness we usually read about, this is nice to hear.

  23. Let's give @JaneBond props for nailing this kindness blind! Way to go Harmon too!
