  3. Babies are quick little bastards...my kid would have flown over the side of the cliff in a heartbeat

  4. I wouldn't even put myself there

  5. So wrong, wrong, wrong. My heart is in my throat just looking at that!

  6. Im just upset there is no one surrounding the baby.

  7. I don't think that the ledge is as steep as the picture makes it seem, but I wouldn't risk it.

  8. They're freaking CRAZY to leave that baby like that!

  9. It depends. Unsafe for babies, safe for Kadashians.

    1. Seven - it's in Norway right?

    2. @texas, yes. It's called Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen in Norwegian) and it's terrifyingly beautiful.

    3. A little ways away is a crack with a boulder lodged in it. You can cross over the boulder if you can stomach it.

    4. Jesus! I just shit down Times Square!

  11. Perspective is everything. We can't tell from this pic if there's a person out of sight on the other side of what appears to be a dangerous ledge. If there's not a person there, FUCK NO!
    Wait...who's taking the pic?

  12. Seven, you just made me want to skip lunch. My heart's now obstructing my throat.
    Thanks(?)

  13. So many thing can happen.... Wind, loud noise scares the baby or distracts the parents. I wouldn't even carry my baby out there. What if you tripped?

  14. Wtf is this??? Brain damage

  15. I know, right?!

The photo was taken by a hiker, who later released it to the press and said he was horrified. (Of course, he also said he was going to warn the parents but decided not to.) I showed it to my SO (a photographer who is familiar with Pulpit Rock) and said, "Check out the new winners of the Darwin Parenting Award!"

  16. I'm coming out I of lurking to say: WTF?

And, the scariest part of this- there are four adults contributing their collective brains to this asinine decision.

  17. Good!!! Parent Shame Them! now everyone knows! I like this hiker & m/b this'll give other idiots pause of trying to capture these Kodak moments for their holiday cards

  19. Holy crap...I'm horrified by that...I have nightmares about my kids falling off things like that!

  20. Welcome Gralismom!!! you being a mom I cant blame you for not being able to sit quietly :)

  21. If the baby fell off the edge, then it would have been a good thing. Stupid people shouldn't reproduce.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes. But I don't have a baby.

    ReplyDelete
  23. They'd probably just make another one, Count. Stupid people never have fertility issues.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Just NO!! I am having a panic attack just looking at this picture.

I am also deathly afraid of heights!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Good job! Wonder what they're excuse would've been should the child had fallen?

"Oops I was taking a selfie?"

    ReplyDelete
  26. That baby's not even a foot from the edge. They could have rolled right over it in a second. Idiots.

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Count.. is it wrong that I giggled at that?

Some people really need to make this their live motto

To quote Ron White.. "The next time you have a thought.. let it go"

I swear sometimes I am convinced the world has gone mental!

  28. Hell no!!!
This picture makes me really sad.

  29. Lol @D Brown. If only

  30. So the Michael Jackson holding blanket over the railing picture is no longer my wtf moment. I'm horrified!

  31. Yes, but only if my baby was going to grow up to be one these empty headed a-holes in the hope something would happen that would prevent my baby from growing up and having children that she would leave out on a rock.

    ReplyDelete
  32. No wind. No rain. A meter far from the cliff and looking away.
The baby is not in more danger than the parents, and they aren't at all.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I see what they're trying to do with a cool shot of the baby and the background...but completely not necessary to have the baby that close to the cliff. It's ridiculous actually. Kids move like the speed of lightening at that age.

  34. Well i wldnt, but all adults rightthere, and nothing happened. But i dont even like ME out there, much less a baby!! Lol

  35. Reminds me of this, only this one is fake:

Sorry, I don't have time to look up my link instructions!

  36. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and hoped the dad or someone was on the other side. But OMG...that pic seven posted made my stomach flip and hands sweat. I cannot believe how insanely stupid and careless some parents are.

  37. When I was about five, my parents and I went camping at a place called Devil's Den. The morning after we arrived, my Dad and I went hiking a trail that was made around the cliffs that they have there, nothing as steep as this one, but still a good 5-600 foot fall.

I didn't notice a root or rock and tripped over it when we were looking down the cliff. Thankfully my Dad had great reflexes because he caught my legs just as I was about to go over.

I've been scared of heights ever since, I mean, I can't even get on a step stool without feeling dizzy. Looking at the fall you could take from the cliff in the picture makes me start sweating now.

Just showed it to my Dad who still hasn't forgiven himself for letting me get as close to the edge as I did when I was a kid and he just said these people need their child taken away from them and made a good point: everyone made an uproar when MJ held his baby over a balcony (and rightfully so), where is everyone screaming for vengeance for this kid?

  38. With Photoshop available, why take the risk?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Are you EFFING kidding me???

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oh my god, why on earth would you do that? Really disturbing.
